2010 A/T with 50k miles here, been contemplating a Supercharger build. Reading through some of the threads and obviously this is a mod that can be a slippery slope of endless add'l mods and infinite tuning.

I'm interested in more power, but I'm also looking for a build I can do once and be done with. (Famous last words? haha)

Anyway, for those with experience, what are the most essential pieces for a Supercharger addition that doesn't need to be constantly tweaked and/or tuned? I don't really know much about motors, but I'm somewhat technically inclined and can follow instructions pretty easily.

Apologies if this has been asked and answered, feel free to point me to any existing threads like that.

Personally the magnuson blower right out the box is pretty underwhelming, smaller pulley is a must have imo. If thats the one your looking at.

Theres also a pretty in depth tips and tricks thread on here for it.

the Magnuson, correct. I saw the smaller pulley mod as well. So one can do the pulley mod without that necessitating other mods? Also, I assume a tune is a must-have? re-gearing or something?

Apologies if these questions seem ignorant. I'm just not much of a tinkerer, I'm happy to get something installed and be done with it.

If dropping pulley sizes more than a 2.8 the fuel pump should be upgraded as stock can't keep up. If changing pulleys get a quick change hub style. An afr gauge is always a good idea as well.

I'm running the magnuson kit, get the tuner kit & send your ecu to Justin for the trd tune, easy peazy truck runs great. I do plan to drop to the 2.8 pulley, but thats it. There's a wealth of knowledge on the site

So you're happy with the power you realized from just the blower + the tune? How much more do you expect to get after changing the pulley? Thanks for the info.

Ya honestly I'm happy with it as is, but I've read that the trd tune & stock trans will support the 2.8 pulley so I'm going to go with it

While I'd love to sell everyone a custom tune, the TRD tune does great with the 2.8 pulley.
