vF Tuning for Manual Transmission 3rd Gens

That's what I thought, just with the updates was sounding like there was a simpler way. Wanted to make sure I wasn't being stupid.

 

Supposed to be easier with the new release but there’s no eta on it’s release / availability

 

Hard to say. That sounds like a good approach though.

 

Updated last night and now I can't open the tune on my truck, what am I doing wrong or what step am I missing

 

Here are the maps available in vF v1.2.8.1 as I have them (04C30)

Literally some colour and name changes. That's it.

 

I remember you having these maps before, i think i mentioned something about it

 

04C30 definition will be updated soon.

 

I was wondering as much. Between the big updates you're working on and the tune pack for this ECU I was thinking it's all probably going to come around the same time, or the big update first and the tune pack (and the finals or performances or whatever it is others are speaking of) shortly after. Good to know that it isn't some problem but something in the pipeline. Thanks for the clarification.

Update: Matt just processed my credits this morning, 2/15/2021.

Any chance requested “credits” will be loaded to VF Tuner accounts. Been trying to open ECU 04B14 to start modifying VFT tunes. Thanks

 

This is a long shot because I'm looking for a specific pre-edited file. I have a licence for VFTuner for my ECU which is 04A71 (manual transmission 2018) but I seem unable to download an editable .vft file because of an "internal server error." I need to modify the 2.0 SuperFOB Premium gas tune to increase the alternator voltage for my new Northstar AGM battery.

If anyone can provide a pre-edited file (with just the alternator boost), or knows how to resolve the "internal server error" I'd appreciate. Thanks!

 

You don't download tune files from the server.

Tune files are sent to you via email in a tune pack if you ordered a tune pack.

If you didn't order a tune pack or are a previous flash kit customer you are not eligible to receive the files

 

I bought the tune pack, order# 6773. I just don't know how to get files that are editable in VfTuner, I've never had to edit them before.

I sent a support request.

 

They send them to you in an email much like when you got you reg. Key

 

You need to send a ticket to request the tune pack for the ecu you want

 

Instructions I have said "You can download the tunes (including the latest 2.0) we have for 04A71 by installing OVTunedInstaller_1.30_x86.exe"

Seems to no longer work, "download error".

 

those instructions are about a year old, where are you seeing it?

 

@tonered I want to edit control and expected air flow but I am not seeing that option on version 1.2.8.1 (04B14 2.0 Prem SuperFOB)

I only have the option of Engine Mapped Expectation Airload ,Ignition and Throttle Efficiency

 

It looks like the map names have changed. I'm not sure which on is which at the moment. We might need more info from OVT?
