Keystone State Thread

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I married a Pennsylvanian a little over a year ago and it just made sense for me to move here. Added bonus is the HUGE cost of living decrease. We might buy a house someday after all! Haha

 

Damn, I've already gone through 2 gallons since I bought my truck the week before Christmas!

 

I have about 2200 miles on my truck in nearly 3 months. Since I no longer work, I don't drive much, other than being a chauffer for my family members.

 

I just rolled over 2500 miles today. Been doing close to 300 miles a week if I go somewhere on my weekends. I seriously need to find somewhere to live closer to work...

 

No. Snow is supposed to start again but the real issue is up 1/2 inch of ice starting after dinner and going to about 5 a.m. tomorrow - or so say the meteorologists.

 

I've put 1020 miles on my truck in the last 12 months.

embarrassed to say I haven't even started it since we got all this snow.

 

Bullseye to Pa. SMH. Come snow or ice I'm out the door at 5:30 tomorrow morning.

 

Everything I’ve seen says rain only for the SE.

 

That street parking looks pretty good compared to the South Side of Bethlehem, around Lehigh University. Imagine narrow streets where tractor trailers can barely pass each other, as the the three feet of snow in the last month has been turned into 3-4 foot tall mounds of ice that stick out into the street a few feet in some places, and spread a foot or two onto the sidewalk, as the city never bothered to haul away the snow. Add to that the spots that have been dug out with mounds between the parked cars, and old lawn furniture used to claim open spots. That is PA 378 through the South Side of Bethlehem, and many of the secondarys still only have a single lane that is plowed. Of course on campus it has been all hauled away and salted down to bare pavement and sidewalks. Truly pathetic.

 

Bethlehem streets are the worst!!

 

They say it will be here about 5 or 5:30. I Hope everybody who is on the roads coming home from work gets there.

Calling for up to half an inch of ice. Give me 2 feet of snow any day..

Throw me a shout out tomorrow again for a patch. Left early. Took kid to dentist appointment

 

Not that we need a ton of snow but I'd rather have a foot or more of snow than ice.

 

If i get 2 feet of snow on top of half an inch of ice I'm quitting and moving to Hawaii.

 

Take my wife with... she hates this weather!!
