Today I was standing at the top of my buddies snow covered driveway to his cabin with him next to his newer 4x4 Silverado. @greengen1 comes effortlessly driving up in his 4runner and my buddy looks at me and says "He made it up there better than I did with my truck". I quickly replied "Yea, because hes got a Toyota".

Some of those guys that are loyal to American truck makes don’t realize that Toyota’s are built to face the extremes!

 

Weird technical question: woke up this morning with the hazards blinking on my 2nd gen. Weird, but maybe I accidentally hit them while parking. Went to turn them off via the dash button...and the won’t turn off. Why the hell would my hazard lights just start on their own and not turn off? Do I need to call and old priest and a young priest? Note: I haven’t been Offroad, in an accident, or in deep water recently. Everything is exactly the same as it’s been for months.

 

My Landcruiser will do that sometimes, it's the factory alarm. I have to put the key in the ignition and cycle it twice for it to stop. Known issue on the 80 series Landcruisers, not sure about the Tacomas.

 

Duralast returned without issue. Full refund. Ordered a Northstar AGM from battery one for $250, should be in wednesday.

 

Any other recommendations? Going to just disconnect my battery until I can get it figured out.

 

You could pull the hazard fuse.

 

Ended up having to switch to a 34R, they couldnt get me the 27F

The weather currently freezing Texas and mid-west is coming here.

 

Ehhh, I won't believe it until I wake up and have to clear the -ish off of the Taco to drive to work. If it DOES happen- it's my fault. I jinxed it by sending the 'Runner to the shop in Churchville to get the frame fixed. 8" of crud would be fun in the 'Runner, it will suck goat testicles in the taco.

 

My buddy in WV told me that today. There was about 6 or 8" already on the ground up there this past weekend.

No kidding man. My brother in law is a "Chevy or Die" "American trucks" guy and I said my Tacoma was built in California. He said "Nope just assembled here but it's a Jap car". I said ok. Didn't argue since he's had 4 Chevys all crap out on him and still thinks they're the best. Lol
