    Hi all,

I’m in the process of reorganizing my toolbox.

I've got a complete set of sockets and wrenches.

I’m actually going to remove some uncommon sizes to make it more efficient for me to work on my vehicles.

I noticed on a 1st gen Tacoma 99% of the bolts seem to be:

    8, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, maybe 22?, maybe 24? I read that the axle nut is 35.

I saw the head bolts are 12 point. I don’t have any 12 point sockets.

I think that also covers my dirt bike (Husqvarna) and my wife’s CRV except her axle nuts are 32 and 36mm I believe.

Are there any other sizes on the 1st gen Tacoma? I have a 3.4 if it matters.

You’re list looks pretty complete to me, don’t think I’ve ever used 22 or 24 on a first gen..

24 for rear diff for sure. 6mm to 24mm will pull apart most Toyota's. Can't comment on axle nut as I'm running manual hubs.

I've never thought to get specific socket sizes based on the truck...always just went and got a few socket sets so I know I'll have what I need.

The 35mm is definitely one to buy though for the axle nut. Other than that I think the biggest you'll need is a 24mm

You'll need some bigger wrenches for the tie rod flats. Watch the "Timmy" video and he'll tell what sizes you need. I purchase a cheap set for the job, and ended up having to use a pipe wrench.
