Did I see you In Exeter on Saturday or Sunday? I seen a black 1st gen

 

No that wasn’t me, truck went in my workshop early part of January for the rest of the winter so I haven’t been driving it. I know a guy around here who has a black double cab first GEN with a new frame courtesy of Toyota. I was blowing snow at work yesterday with the tractor.

 

Eh? The reverse camera has no lights.

The reverse lights on Tacos and LX470s use the same type of #921 bulb. Most vehicles have two reverse lights, so you need two bulbs.

That s#$t is so expensive.

I almost broke my tank on a big bolder, wire inside the tank broke, had to be towed, Looked at options, extended tanks cost 2500$ plus installation.
Rear Bumper alone is 1500 installed, tire carrier is another 1000$ . Gas tank carrier is another $$$.

The only reason I would need more gas is to go to places like tuk/Yukon. So I would only strap them for trans canadian tours

To keep the centre of gravity as low as possible, I am looking at marine gas tanks like these or similar, aluminum most likely. They carry 40 to 70 liters.
They are between 5 to 12" tall only

Worst case scenario, I will buy a raised hitch carrier. I got this idea from some crazy dude that carried half a dozen cans like this...

Ok.
Due to the outstandingly uncommon atmospheric conditions, it is very in place to hit the road. Unfortunately, it'll take about an hour to start because I have toyota recommended anti-theft device (wifes car in front of mine). Should be moving by 4am...
Might be performing public service as well, so snatch strap and softies as a passenger

 

This happened to me a couple of times in KW area and I have reciprocated as well. First time I let a cop go in front of me in a big line... He bought my coffee in turn.

Funniest one... I cut off an old man to get in line. I could see him red faced and yelling/shaking his fist. I looked in my mirror and pushed my glasses up with my middle finger... Sent him into another fit. When I got to the window I paid for his coffees and box of timbits for having to put up with my antics. Didn't get to see his reaction to covering his bill...

 

I often wave at Tacos with steel bumpers and they wave back. My wife says "oh, isn't that cute! You waved at each other"....

 

Kinda like the Harley guys!

I do that as well and I always try to park beside other Toyotas or tacos in shopping malls

 

I wave at other Tacos too. Most who actually see me wave, will wave back. My wife has a similar reaction. Although she has seen it before, as it was a thing with the Golf GTI owners too. I don't miss that car as much as I thought I might. I guess I'm a fully converted Tacoma enthusiast now.

 

Be careful parking beside other tacomas. Those guys are animals lmao

 

If you hunt deer you can also strap your deer on there and keep the blood out of your SUV
