I had power between 2 and 5ish.... it's out now...again. fml

 

this jackery is the best birthday present ever!!!!

 

It's actually worked out quite well. Not gonna lie. I know my Spectrum has an area outage so I have stopped trying to reset the modem, and turned my router off completely.

 

We’re streaming movies on the tv via the hotspot on my phone. Technology is cool sometimes.

 

Not as cool, but I used my Hotspot for some work stuff earlier. Was able to get some work done between outages.

 

So there is a major gas valve thing across the street from us and anytime it gets real cold they have a guy sitting there to monitor it 24/7. I guess since they will be there for so long, it looks like they ordered up a porta potty for the guys. Might be a little breezy!

 

I hope that those guys perfected their hover technique. Imagine this scenario, but with your ass.

 

No power here, had power from ~2pm - 5:40pm but it is now off again. Got a shower and charged phones/laptops etc while it was on so I'm good for the night.

Sorry guys. I’ve been there. Last year I lived a month without electricity in the winter in Cushing OK. It’s tough without a solid fire or wood stove. We aren’t ready for it here.

could always hop in your taco or 4runners for heat

 

get yourself a battery backup power strip. I have the house internet plugged into one and I can generally get about an hour of internet before the battery dies.

I hope y'all got your power/water back. Still lucky here, not having any issues. If anyone needs a place to stay, my door is open. Well, unlocked at least. Sounds like the next round of weather tonight is gonna be slushy and nasty.

Was -4 out here this morning. On my last bottle of propane. Every exchange place sold out around here. Might have to make a run to get bottles filled.

Was going to offer you one as I only use propane for my grill but I think meeting up would be more difficult than you finding one Haha.. poolville to rockwall.
