yeah they are the ones i normally take it to, but our agendas just didnt match up and i was living in portales so it was my last resort and i needed it done before my move to Las Cruces,,,, but good side is they are one of the ones that gave me an estimate and they are straight shooters.

BUT AS LONG AS EVERY TACO OWNER IN MEW MEXICO KNOWS THIS HORROR STORY AND STAYS AWAY FROM TRUCKS UNIQUE... AT LEAST FOR INSTALLS,,,, they have some semi good prices on stuff you canget through them..... JUST DONT LET THEM TOUCH ONE FINGER TO YOUR TRUCK OR IT MAY JUST END UP LIKE MINE.

its over by aloha rv, on the east side of the freeway, north of paseo, its like the street just north of stone face brewery and calibers. i guess they might be ok when it comes to no brainer cookie cutter chevy's and fords cause thats usually all thats in there. OHOHOHOHOH I ALMOST FORGOT THE BEST PART, when they finally 5 days later finished "bolting" on the lift, the tech that backed it up in the shop backed it into another truck bed!!!!!! the bed was on the floor off the truck and my rear bumper put a dent in it, my bumper has a little scratch... lol... but yeah there is a guy there with a 4runner and he seemed pretty cool, was really admiring my truck saying how clean it was and what not, he showed me his runner, he put tundra sturts and springs on it.....i couldnt really know for sure... had the deck plate mod though, that was about it.

oh yeah,, Mr. Kenny was trying to dog me the 3rd time i tried to bring it back,,, saying that the lift i had them put on was "pushing the limits of this truck and thats the problem"

the third time i brought it back, when he told me f off, i cant blame him, I was pissed and I left a message on that sunday saying if it didnt get done properly this time i was going to report him to the BBB and consumer reports and slam him on the forums.... granted i can see how it could piss a person off,,, but being a consumer i have that right. he said "he doesnt take kindly to threats".... wow, i wonder if he ever took a business class in college....

yeah, I prefer Desert Rat too, it was just our time availability that caused me to have to have it done somewhere else.
horrible thing is trucks unique came recommended to me by my best friend Dave Perry, his dad owns Perry Supply in ABQ. T.U. used to do all their trucks, but apparently that doesnt happen anymore either since Phil told off Dave sr.

YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD HELP... IF ANY OWNERS WHO KNOW OF ANY HORROR STORIES FROM RTUCKS UNIQUE POST THEM,,, that way I have even more backing when going to court to show its not just me.
I have 2 mechanics going w/ me right now, one of them is a former employee of TU, he told me some horror stories too.

Tacoridinhigh... what did they do about the damage they caused? did they fix it?

yo blended... what are of lc you in??? we should go wheeling,,, but i really dont do anything except for like fling mud up since i still dont feel comfortable with things being not 100% after T.U. f'ed it all up. I really wouldnt "wheel" anyways, never have, just putted around in the mud and gone on dirt trail.... i'm a big wimp about my truck so i try not to beat it to hell,,,, i go slower over speed bumps in my truck than in my girls eclipse :)

bummer mylittle sorry to hear that. i had something kinda similar happen to me.... desert rat couldn't fit me into there schedule to do some stuff on my old jeep so i went over to 4wheel parts.....they were total a-holes to me and now i hate that place with a passion... so ive learned just to wait for desert rat from now on, they rock

I live in the downtown area. I don't wheel too much either, mostly because I don't have time. I like to splash around in the River when it's dry like this time of year, and hit up some mud when it rains. I'd do more trail riding if I had people to go with, however all of my buddies with 4x4's have big ol' diesels and dont' play that game. I'm down to wheel anywhere though, so long as I got the time.

I graduated with my CJ degree in 2006, and I still don't have a job, so don't expect too much with that... :p

rraether: i run eagle alloy 185 series in 15x8 with kumho muds,,,, i love those tires, just please do us all a favor and dont get those rock star rims that all the chevy guys get lol, they are nice rims, but too over played and too many chevy ppl have them. I am hoping to get a set of those axis chambers,,,, they are kinda cool.
