All I know is I ordered SPC UCA a few weeks ago and the still gave me the (great) price that was quoted from a group buy feeler I posted in last April, so I was still a happy guy.

I ordered from Wheeler a few months ago and didnt notice any change in service. Im sure/hope HS continues that way sans Marie.

Most these acquisitions want it that way. A seamless transition with the "brand" but it becomes "faceless" to regular customers and loses the humanity aspect of the people/store that you are buying from. In the case of HS, we no longer have the priceless help of Marie....but for people that didnt need that help, everything is status quo with Headstrong.

What I have noticed with Wheeler and HS, is that the "specialized" purchases are gone. In the past, if you only need 1 item that usually comes in a pair (Fox Roost Shields, u-bolts, lift blocks, etc).... HS or Wheeler was willing to sell just 1 side/piece of what you need. I dont see that anymore. Now I have to buy a pair of roost shields when I only need 1.

Kevin is probably a cool dude but he isn't Marie (the original owner) or Rob (her husband)
But no more candy with your order

It's easy to see when enthusiast businesses get bought out by corporate outfits just by looking at how much the interact with the community.

Look at the Headstrong account, from joining May 28 2015 to Aug 17 2020, there were 3,927 posts in 1908 days or 2.06 per day. From Aug 17 to today, there were 50 posts in 178 days or 0.28 per day.

Wheeler's wasn't as active but they were always good about discount codes and quick to answer questions in PMs.

They may have been sold but the prices and service are still the same.

I purchased my lift kit from them last month and it came without issue at the cheapest price around. Thats really all I cared about!

Dont worry about them I am sure they are ok. People tend to not sell things if its not in their best interest.

"The best interest" isn't necessarily the issue. I do hope the customer service tries to remain the same. When I was doing my research on a lift, Marie took the time, over the phone, to give me the pros and cons, worked within my budget, and REALLY educated me regarding lifts, drive angle vibes, what to purchase and even took the time to put together a package for me and email it out to me with an invoice. That was her claim to fame. I will miss her. I know a lot of vendors, in the past, were awesome to work with and after they were sold, their business and customer service went to shit. I really do hope they continue on with the tradition and if they do, I will sing their praises like I have done in the past and recommend them to anyone I try to educate about lifts as well. @HeadStrong Off-Road

I bought the bilstein 5100 kit with OME 887 from them a few weeks ago. I was expecting a lot of great communication. The order went fine, and I received everything as expected. I ordered I think on a Wednesday, and they shipped Monday. I did ask a question about them sagging after I read some info on here, and I had them installed already before I ever heard a response. Anyway, I wasn't unhappy with them, but from everything on here I was expecting Marie to reach out to me with my question.

Before purchasing my kit last month I received a very long private message from them in regards to alot of that info. It ultimately helped me make my decision on which kit to purchase.

I dont feel as though I missed out on anything....however I guess I will never know what I missed by not having your experience.

Either way I am happy and promote them to others.

@hoarder23 How did you find out about Marie and Rob leaving?
I'm trying to contact them, but no response yet.

Amen, And I hope they got a killer deal and live happily ever after. (and, never "HAVE" to work again) That's the reward for successful entrepreneurs and risk takers.

Well my order showed up today, and one of my leaf springs is missing. I checked the 2 individual tracking numbers they gave for the leaf springs, and one tracking number is saying delivered (assuming that's the 1 leaf spring I received) and the other tracking number is saying the shipping label was created, but the leaf was never brought to UPS for shipping.

Emailed them and they said sometimes UPS loses them, but they're looking into it. Tracking number clearly says that UPS never took possession of the package. We'll see how the customer service goes
