How To Fix Car Dent With Compressed Air

Anyone try this?

not sure if this is the same thing you are posting but here is one i saw earlier today. all you need is a hairdryer and a can of compressed air.

I want to try this on my Mercedes ML350, park away from everyone at the local stores and come out and find someone let a shopping cart go and yep right into the rear passenger door, got a dent the size of a quarter. I'm sure this would be a cheaper fix than dealer or the local dent doctor

 

I don't see why it wouldn't. From what I can tell you heat the metal, then freeze it to make it contract and it pops the dent out.

 

Can't be good for the paint.

 

do you have a picture of the dent?

 

i see that as being it may work on an easy dent, similar to the dry ice vids... but dont expect it to be perfect everytime. depending on the shape of the panel, it could also make it worse.

just use a dent guy

 

Put some saran wrap over it.

 

Yea. Stretch some saran wrap over the dent. Pull it really tight and then paint it. No more dent. lol.

I've heard that this doesn't work most of the time. A lot of the reviews on this way of fixing a dent claim that when the area returns to normal temperature or gets heated up again by the sun the dent pops back in the same way you popped it out
