So let me get some thoughts from you guys...

Getting the Eibach Pro kit once it comes back in stock later this month/early March.

Base kit w/strut assembly is $700. Deaver single leaf is $100, 3-leaf is $200 or there is a block/u-bolt kit for $100.

I want to do a 2" lift in the front and 1.5" lift in the back, I don't do any off-roading or towing. What is the best route I should take with the above rear options?

Regardless of which way you go, see if you can get a differential carrier bearing drop or axle shims to help with your driveline angle. It'll keep vibrations down which sometimes happen when you start lifting the rear.

Excuse my ignorance but that was pretty much all gibberish to me. Is this something I should request from the shop I have install the lift?

    For Best Ride:

I would go with the 3 leaf AAL. W/O Overload spring to net around 1.5'' rear lift.

I'm running the wheelers 3 leaf AAL + Overload spring and happy with the setup and ride.

I would skip the diff drop and CB drop for now.

Wow! I was unaware of this. That’s too bad. Anyone know why?

OME kits come with a carrier bearing drop kit, might have to ask about the others. It's a simple metal spacer with longer nuts that goes under the carrier bearing (where your two piece driveshaft connects). Should be a pretty cheap add on.

I believe she and the Mr. Sold their share/portion/half (however it broke down). Not sure if they just wanted to retire or change it up or what.

Thanks for the info. I might be screwed then because I have the 2020 TRD Pro wheels on mine and they have a positive offset. I believe your wheels have a negative offset, am I correct?

I do not haul or tow anything either so I should also be fine with blocks if I decide going with that route.

Sorry, just saw this. No CMC. I had to remove the front black air dam piece below the bumper (TRD Sports have this) and remove the mud flaps. I did a little bit of plastic trimming but that was only because I did the 285's before the lift. If you do the lift first you shouldn't have to trim anything:cheers:

Thanks! I'm also running a -10 SCS wheel so it's good to see I'll have some tire options once I get the lift. I had to do some trimming and heat gunning my liners to even get 265s on without rubbing.

Yes sir, you're welcome! I'm surprised you had to do some trimming with the 265's. I had to do minor trimming and modifications to fit the 285's and -10 offset with NO lift but was able to get rid of 90-95% of the rubbing. You can check out what I did here, again that was with no lift though.. post #2486 on this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/eibach-pro-lift-kit.545060/page-125

I was too. I spent months reading all the SCS threads in the wheel/tire section and came down to that I'd have to take off the mud guards and after that I shouldn't rub much at all. I was wrong but it worked out well because I learned a lot from having to correct that. After I get my lift done (plan on buying the kit when it comes back in stock at Headstrong Offroad) I may just stick with 265s for awhile. Although I really really want to move to 275s for no other reason than I like the look better. That's been the story about my entire truck, I don't offroad I just mod because I like the looks, so it's a hardware store crawler as I don't do malls.

I understand that..I don't take mine offroad either. I bought my kit pre-assembled from Headstrong. My wife just bought a 4runner so now I'm starting all over again with all the online reading haha!

Does anyone know if when I install my Eibach kit on the 2nd setting up front with a 2" AAL in the rear is gonna cause both vibration issues and over extension of the rear Eibach springs? I bought 2mm rear axle shims just in case> I wanted some rake in the back, but not a huge amount, as I do carry a 130lb-ish RTT on back most of the year. Any input appreciated.

I'm running my fronts on the second notch but I'm running 2 inch blocks (tapered) in the rear. Did not use any carrier bearing or diff drops kits. No vibrations or overextended shocks. Rides great.. You should be fine.

Hey all. I know all of our trucks are a little different, but is there a general consensus on stock ('17 TRD Off Road DCSB) hub to fender measurements? I didn't measure pre-lift and I wanted to check out what I actually have for lift after 1.5 years and 30,000 miles. I'm on the lowest setting with 1/4" driver side spacer and Wheeler's 1.5" add a leaf. Thanks!

I believe it's 21" for the front and 22" for the rear for 3rd gens

Looking at doing this kit and wondering this: I just got some new 265-70 16 tires for super cheap and don’t want to replace for a year or two. I know it would probably look like I skipped leg day if that was all, but I am running my front/trans steel skids(68lbs), sliders(100ish lbs), and 27F(67lbs) battery up front and I have a canopy (170lbs) roof basket (40lbs unloaded), fridge (40ish lbs) plus tools/recovery gear that probably nets around 75lbs in the rear. The other thing is we tow a 2400-2800 lb trailer a lot of the summer too.

Anyone think that weight will slightly drop the lift closer to 1.5-1.75” and look ok? Probably add a spacer on the driver for the lean as well.

    Any input is always appreciated.

Skip the spacer and go for a slightly stiffer driver side leaf spring. Quite a few options out there. But yeah it should settle just a bit and make you look less like you skipped leg day lol

The other option would probably be 5100’s with OME 885. Pretty close to the same price. Probably doing either Deaver or Wheeler’s AAL for the time being with the long term being a full Deaver leaf pack when I can afford it.
