I'm still super red from my attempted jump on the weed stocks and let's not even mention GME and AMC

 

my looks made big moves and are now trading sideways...
missed a big up on HYLN by a few cents...
boring....hoping it picks up...

PLTR was up big in AH...then major sell...i think it's gonna be feeling the lock-out pretty hard the next few days...might gain a little...but will prob just move sideways.
RIOT took off...missed that one

rather work for myself and see a means to an end rather than this for 30 years.

I don’t have a bad job, I just prefer the entrepreneurial aspect I guess.

A have a degree in Acct/fin and have worked in that until I wound up doing IT for my company now (job for the last 2.5 yesrs). I have a decision to make in the short term, do i try to pursue the IT path further or go back to accounting...Ultimately i am deciding to go back to Accoutning, as the IT jobs for companies in this town are next to zero since its so small and there just isnt that much of a need. It can be done remotely sure...but i dont have the schooling to jump into that level where i could do programming (vs more system admin like i do now, which requires some on site time) without moving or a major step back in pay (neither of which im doing). At the end of the day, id rather be able to work 100% remote making less, than having a higher paid position which requires less off the grid time and more in person time. I think accounting offers better remote work opportunities at my current level/age (27) than the IT path. My current boss is aware and from our last convo...in support of my desire to be 100% remote and switch back to finance.

Starting a business is all well and dandy, but im just not that motivated and am too risk adverse to take that leap. Im in a good position, my house pays for itself, nest egg for retirement is a non issue and i dont have to put money into it, i have no other debt...so id rather let somone else carry the business risk, and ill just collect my relatively good paycheck and play as much as i can.

the Mrs does alright as a CPA doing business/personal taxes for a smallish local firm. Another year or two and she’ll probably be making more than me with all the military entitlements combined. Sucks Jan-Apr, 6 day 60hr weeks but rest of the year she has every Friday off and works 32hr weeks.
