We have normally been running 66 for heat, but at 67 it feels much warmer and not like we're keeping the edge off.

72-73 is just a hair too warm for us.

 

We tried 68 here but it was a tad too cold on the cold winter days, we had an Ecobee thermostat so it would adjust down while we slept and up during awake hours. Then if it was too cold while we slept I would bring the app up on my phone and tap it up a little.

 

I grew up in New England, Virginia and Germany plus my wife is German so we like it cooler.

I grew up here in MI, haven't found the perfect weather for me yet. Lived in FL for 19 years the summer and humidity is poop, here in MI the COLD is too much. People say it's nice in Hawaii but don't think I can afford to live there.

 

With this unit that 72-73 is really about 68. It’s nice and cold.

Well catching up just a little while I have service. We keep our thermostat in the summer at 78 and the heater at 69 during the winter, at night time we drop the heater to 62.

 

I turn the heater down and the A/C up during the day as the rates are cheaper at night than during the day.

I'm lazy, so I don't constantly mess with it anymore lol

 

78 is WAY too toasty to me. My in-laws used to keep theirs set there.

 

Ours is on a program so almost never touch it.

 

Ya that for the summer months only.

 

When you buy your place try out the Ecobee. Will adjust for you and you can set schedules.
