This is why I hate vampire clips! They end up slicing the wire and exposing it to the elements. A few years later, it ends up just severing the wire. All the more reason to get the harness from @memario1214

Yes, as I tightened the button head it seated itself in that depression and sat flush.

Tighten it down more. The head of the m5 bolt will sit in the pocket flush.

Thanks. Was being a wuss and afraid I was gonna crack the pod, plus was using crappy screwdriver with M5 bit that wasn't giving me enough leverage.

I missed the harnesses. I had tagged this thread to “watch”, but didn’t get notifications so I forgot.

I’d like to get in on the next round of harnesses.

The spare on my vehicle comes very close to the exit of the back of the hitch. I'm going to have to bend the harass close to 90 degrees to avoid the tire. Are we worried about the harness getting damaged over time due to the corner of the metal?

Installed this morning! Very easy install and I'm looking forward to checking it out later once it gets dark. I really like that it is extremely easy to switch between the light and the hitch receiver.

Thanks! No build page but feel free to PM me with any questions. I like the look of the tails, but functionally they are not very good at all. I can't keep water out of the passenger one and the turn signals are super weak. I'll definitely be upgrading to the Meso taillights once they are available!

I was just wanting to see more pics of your truck haha. Looks a lot like what I go for! I've had the meso total tails for a year or so and they're amazing. I love the look of the blackout/smoked tails like yours but don't want to mess with the output of meso's

@MESO have you seen any tails that qualify? Blackout but let your tails remain as awesome as they are?

*sorry to hijack the thread, but while I've got you all here... and while I wait on my hitch light to be delivered

What do you refer to as “BLACKOUT”?
    Black lens?
    Black internals?

I am not a fan of smoked(lens) housings. Yes I know they look super cool and all, but it really affects light output. Unfortunately there isn’t much out there for quality+bright replacement housings. Total tail is probably the best bet.
Until my new housings come out:stirthepot:
