    Good evening!
I was just wondering. Whenever I try to put my truck on crawl control, it feels like it's only going 1 MPH. I put my truck in neutral, then engage 4L, then push crawl control and it doesn't seem to change speed when switching the dial. Is my crawl control broken or am I doing something wrong?

Yes, there is no speed change at all, it goes like it would at idle speed and doesn't seem to gain any type of speed.

Stop and keep your foot on the brake.
Shift into Neutral and put your Toyota Tacoma in 4-Low.
    Shift into Drive or Reverse.
Activate Crawl Control — On/Off Button located above the rearview mirror.
Select a speed with the Crawl Control dial.
Let your foot off the brake.
Vital information can be found on the Multi-Information Display.

Does your multi-information display tell you the operating status and speed select status?

Edit; here's a thread with people have issues with their crawl control, may be worth a read. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/crawl-control-not-working.657481/

Looks like you're in crawl control speed setting 5. I think speed settings are 1-5mph. Unsure why yours isn't working as intended unless we are all missing something. May be worth a trip to the dealer to diagnose.

I'm looking at the Crawl control forums and it seems like not even toyota knows how to fix it. Welp, Crawl Control would be nice to have especially when people pay the extra loot for the offroad package. But, I guess it's just not an option .

It's definitely not 5 settings of 1 through 5 mph.

    More like .2, .4, .6, .8, and 1 mph...

Thanks for the clarification, I was wondering that. People were telling me that it's 1 to 5 mph, but I think you may be right.

I just knew the CC was going to be issues when it came out and expensive to repair when out of warranty. Sorry some are dealing with this, maybe Toyota will get it straight. I have been following the big thread on this issue. Just happy I didn't get on OR.

I just tested my crawl control on flat ground with ice/snow on ground. Speed 1 was very lurchy, slow, and not smooth at all. 2-4 were smoother, a little faster, but no noticeable difference in speed. 5 I could tell was faster than the rest but not by much. Digital speedo said 1mph only in speed 5.

5 MPH doesn't sound like much but would feel like the Indy 500 when rock crawling......

I'm just saying that if it doesn't go up to 5mph, then the system might be defective.

No worries, just a feeble attempt at humor. Even though I own 2 Tacomas, with Crawl Control, I have yet to be in a situation where I needed to use it.

And I'm trying to get some information about it at the toyota dealership that I bought the truck at and they are completely clueless about the feature, it's rather sad

In my experience, flat ground is not the place where crawl control shines. In a steep/loose situation its another story, however, even then its not what I would call "Smooth" (which isn't the purpose of the feature)
it is helpful in those situations though

Well, I wouldn't want to test it first time when I need it and have it fail xD

People have been off-roading for years without crawl control. Not needed. I wouldn't worry about it.
