Good question. How can you verify it was done other than their word for it?

I had mine done on Monday - the ride home was good ...and then I took the truck out today and had to negotiate the long highway hill on the way home and the difference was amazing!! So glad I got the new upgrade.

You can go and get it scanned to see if they did. After driving mine for 2 days I honestly don't know if its any better. Like I said, I never had issues with the transmission. I'm not picky at all. I love these trucks man. No idea why people complain so much. I came from a 95 civic so i guess these things are luxury for me lol

I have an appointment in an hour and a half for the 12 month Toyota Care and also noted the frequent shifting. Hopefully they aren't tools about the TSB...

Not off to a good start as he's telling me it's related to the fuel pump recall and nothing else is showing up for it.

Just got done with the service manager. She couldn't find the TSB.

A phone call to the guy I started with then another to someone else. Whoever she was talking to, she must have been giving them an out with comments like "it's in the express bay" and "you don't have time to do it now, right?" She got off the phone and said they found the TSB (shocker) and they're doing it now.

my dealership would not change my turn signal flasher from 3 to 5 without me paying for it.

These dealerships should be running to do the update.
    1- they get paid
2- it makes such a difference that once the word is completely out they will sell even more trucks.Bunch of dummies

At least they are doing. I brought the TSB with me for my fuel pump appt. they said they’d try to reproduce my concerns, I said don’t touch the fuel pump if you’re not going to do the TSB, I’ll take it to another dealer. They did it. It was worth it.

I'm not entirely sure if they actually did or not. No overly noticeable change on the couple mile drive home.

I'll have to see if my cheap bluetooth OBD2 reader will give me any information.

Should be able to notice. If they put it on your paperwork they probably did it. Pretty sure any obd 2 scanner will do it. Just the cal id. It should have slightly higher shift point or not rapid fire to the highest gear. It feels like ect light.

So my VIN is one of the listed, but I'm in a 17. Might have to swing through and see about getting this done. Anyone else with pre2019 VIN get this done so far (don't recall in my reading most of the 34 pgs).

I went in today and had them do my TSB (I think?), navigation update, and turn signal clicker from 3 to 5.

They definitely did something to the computer. Receipt says PERFORMED REPROGRAM ECM T1: 26 | T2: 99, and it is incredibly more responsive. But I don't know if that's the same TSB upgrade.
They also definitely upgraded my navigation. Tested it out on the way home against my google maps on my phone and it wasn't making aggressively stupid decisions.

For the turn signal clicker, they claimed they couldn't do it (in person), or there was no option available (receipt). This is on a 2019 TRD Off Road DCLB 4WD.

What is the turn signal clicker about. Never heard about it?

supposed to have my 10k oil and tire rotate done in an hour. ask them to make the turn signal blink 5 times instead of 3. Also, asked them to make the beep when locking the truck with the remote louder. my ears are not what they used to be. Both request are changes that can be done. We will see if they will do it. If not, I ordered a Carista OBD2 yesterday. I know that will work.

So all new 2021 Tacoma's have the new ECU programming right? I am going in for my 30K and may as well have them apply TSB-0092-00 to keep up with the Jones's.
