I'm at 115k and decided to just start freshening up everything. I hoping to save axles for after gears.

Not yet, says I should see them Friday. I'll wait until then before I dispute the payment. Otherwise I think I'm stuck with rock auto or Napa. Might just go OEM to make sure I have a good bearing.

Water pump, thermostat, and serpentine are also on my list, but for now I just want the option of driving the truck.

My '03 has 138k. I've done axles and lbj's. Other than that she's golden.

rock auto usually has good bearings. Most I’ve seen are timkin or skf.

I did my axles yesterday and a plethora of other things too. I was really impressed with how easy the job really was

My Buddy Jeurgon has a small local parts business. He’s a Jeep guy. He will be running a 1 day recovery class this Spring. I’ll definitely be taking that one. One new tip can save a trip.

Hey Bob, sweet truck! I'm a fairly local (originally from Blairsville and now live in Indiana) and have an 03 too. I didn't see in any of your posts, but what skid plates are you running on your first gen? I'm in need of some for my truck.

Also would like to get in on some local wheeling action next time you guys are out!

Thanks, they were made by a guy on here. Called his shop RAT products. He did a group buy. They are stout. Did you use to live along 22? I've seen that truck before.

Do you know if he's still making them? And yes I did live along 22. Recently moved up to Indiana

Edit: looks like RAT is not longer in the business

I think he did a small run and never really got off the ground with his business. Check out Low Range off road. I think they carry Trailgear and some others.

I’m in Indiana too. I’m guessing you lived by the VFW? I always saw a truck that looks like yours driving home along 22

gotta ask yourself if your alright with pinstripes?!?!? If so we can give you a shout next time we go out. CB is kinda needed too. The only person to get dents is @Loco_Driver. We got something in the works once the snow drops off a bit.

if your into traveling and exploring I venture north quite often. I still gotta get with @Armyhater458 but that won’t be till the snow disappears up there. Also glad to see another local join the thread

also a dog is optional but very much welcome :D

I am definitely okay with pinstripes! I do have a CB but have yet to get an antenna and install it. My truck also has a few dents from wheeling and an accident so those aren't much of an issue. I travel up north to Elk county a few times a year and am in for a little trek north.

We do have a 9 month old puppy that likes to come along for rides!

I've got my parts, hopefully get time to install this weekend. It's been a month since I've drove the truck. Definitely in the mood for a little trip.

I do some hunting in elk county. There is a little wheeling in kittanning and imagine you've got some stuff out your way. Quite a few in one of the facebook groups I follow used to go to the landing last summer.
