TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

guy never changed his oil in 30k and then put something in the oil cu it was low. He said he didn’t no what. Spun a bearing on the crank. Complete idiot

 

Which turns out to be a lot. I'll add to that, with the E36.

Hahaha I can’t complain tho. The power level I’m at for how little I’ve done to it is amazing

 

Is their another crank pulley you can use or do you have to use the one from magnuson/trd. The little tab on the back side of the crank pulley snapped when the bolt backed out. I didnt get it tightened enough. Now I have the tool to tighten the bolt to correct torque specs. Now the crank pulley is a little wobbly. Magnuson wants $249 for a new one. Just curious if somebody else makes one that will fit. Thanks

 

Might be able to pick up a used one from somebody here that had upgraded to the nst one or get an nst one yourself

@TRON A bird on a tree told me to tell you to check your fuel pump relay or other relays for the buzzing noise

 

Does anyone have a TRD/Magnuson crank pulley they would be willing to part ways with. What about the NST one, is it listed for the Tacoma or did someone figure out it would work withe the Toyota. Its amazing the knowledge you can get from this site. Thanks again for the advice

The NST was a special order they did for us. they may make another if you check with them but was a limited run at the time. I also have one sans dowel.

 

I have a favor I need to ask the TRD/Magnusson crew.

I have a FJ Cruiser owner that is having some issues and attempting to do some diagnostics to isolate his issue. He currently only has the FIC 650cc/min injectors and he's hoping someone on here is looking to sell their stock TRD injectors.

I know he'd greatly appreciate it if you have a set that you can spare. Please email me what you'd like for your set and I'll be sure to pass your email along to him.

The stock ones prior to s/c install? If so, I’ll just give him mine. Just a tad under 14k miles.

He needs the Orange TRD/Magnusson supplied 455cc/min injectors.

 

Oh I’m sorry man, I misread. Those are the ones in my truck cuz I never got the Fic’s . Someone here will help out I’m sure.

 

Is he only looking to get them for diag purposes or want to go to them and stick with them? I would be possibly interested in a swap if he wanted to get rid of them permanently. I can run the 650's with the Ucon right? Crap, maybe need some HPT love too. But first need to check the fuel pump. Pretty sure that is my long start issue. Still. Sorry *cough* Robert, I haven't checked that yet.
