Was just curious if anyone has installed this rack and left the factory roof drip seals OFF? And if so, have you run into any issues? My understanding is that theyre purely cosmetic if you seal the holes correctly...Unless theres anyone in Phoenix with that 3/4in punch I can borrow LOL...Mine is on order but I wanna install NOW haha.

Sweet thanks. Just wasn’t sure if it would look odd from the front or not.

Black truck for me soo no? It’s really hard to tell with the rack right there. Just a sea of black and shovels and snowboards and traction boards and hi lift jack and lights and handles and and and

    edit: and snorkel?

    Same, I did that before.
You don't NEED to put them in, but it does look a little strange otherwise.

So most of the frontrunner accessories use a M8 hex bolt to attach to the rack. Anyone know if the M8 will fit through the t-slots of the bravo?

They will not. M6 or 1/4" will be the largest that fit.

mine doesn’t whistle or make much noise. Can hear it in crosswinds and high wind but not bad. I have alpha with 40” bd light. Put maxtrax and other stuff there.

Ronny Dahl posted a video the other day where he failed to take into account rated loads for his roof rack and is going with something else. Interesting the website here is like, "You'll be fine."

I really enjoyed that video; glad the information presented was black and white.
Kind of a wake up call for selecting equipment with the right considerations in mind.
That was what got me thinking about my Retrax Cover, Truss bed rack, rooftop tent, and no bed stiffeners. I am currently hunting down bed stiffeners. Haha

Well I haven’t installed the led light bar yet. So it’s kinda noisy, not sure if it will fix the noise issue once I install it.

ironically, the load rating is set forth by the manufacturer of your truck, and we will always tell you to adhere to these load ratings.

The relevant aspect here is that the one Ronny talked about in the video met and exceeded the vehicle's rating - on road. Offroad, however, the capacity was severely reduced, enough where he could carry his recovery boards and that was about it.

I guess if the rack is capable up to the vehicle's rating in any circumstance, it would benefit the consumer to have that plainly stated.

I think both the Tacoma and Hilux have weight ratings of 75lb, but that's with their own roof rack. Who knows what the actual rating of the roof and the mounting points are, because they won't state otherwise.

How many TW engineers does it take to come up with a load rating for a 3rd party roof rack?

I'll put what I want on mine. If shit flies off, probably my fault.
