That is a great review and ranking. Interesting that you even rated them higher than Wildpeaks

Most likely due to how tight the tread blocks on the Falkens are. The Yokohama's have larger voids to allow some cleaning. Once the Wildpeaks have snow packed in them, the tread design makes it difficult to clean out while driving. There's a small amount of traction from snow on snow adhesion, but it doesn't offset the self cleaning issues.

i was not wildpeak fan. After 10,000 miles I gave them away to a co-worker if that tells you anything

The st maxx may still be my favorite tire however it is heavy (for being smaller) and expensive

I think it has to do with the tread compound. the wildpeak has more siping but i found that it wanted to skate or float on slick pavement.

Good so far. They top out quite easily which is a bit annoying. But I ran lower preload which helped out that issue. Other than that I love them

Had a set of these for 6 months. Hands down a terrible tire in the wet! Worst tire I've ran. Quarter throttle on our trucks should not be enough power to break loose, but with these it was. I was tired of slipping anytime it is raining and feeling uneasy with these so I switched to duratracs, which have been fantastic. I will never run another set of these which is too bad bc they are a great looking tire and did well offroad.

So, you just pop in here every few weeks to bitch about the wet traction?

I've been all over the place in mine over the last few weeks and the only thing they've slipped on was ice and snow.

Mine, too. I'm running 35 PSI on 295/70/17's.

How long have you had yours? Have you done much off-roading with them? I can't wait to try these in the dirt and rocks!

I’m at about 38 psi and it seems to be perfect for me. I thought I had them longer but I’ve had them about 2500 miles. I haven’t done anything crazy Offroad yet but so far they’ve been great off the pavement. I’m excited to this spring

Any of you ran both these and STT Pro? I’d be interested so hear if anyone has any feedback on that comparison

No issues with my yokos in the rain or on pavement, I also live in the PNW. They are definitely showing their age now at less than half tread but the last 30k miles have been great. amazing tire offroad. I would be buying another set if not for the price.

I found them to be inexpensive compared to most other MT's. Maybe the price has come down since you bought them. :notsure:

The uncommon size I got is part of the problem I think, but them being available in 285/75/17 is also what lead me to the Yoko's in the first place

Ok. Like everyone I have been back and forth with tires. I’m 2.5” lift up front 1” rear. I do have a set of 1.25” spidertrax to use. Rims are +10. I can’t seem to find a picture of 265/70/17 in these. Am I missing it somewhere? Not looking to cmc at this moment.

if you use the Spidertrax, your wheels will basically be a -20. 265/70/17 should have ZERO firmest issues. I thought I had a pic on the GC, but I only have pics of the 255/75/17’s on it
