I had a flowmeter system from the exhaust manifolds back on my 4.7 tundra. It made more power while noticeably louder but didn't have that annoying drone. Only issue after about 10 years it all rotted out. I didn't think their stainless steel was anywhere near the quality of what some others use.

    Check build thread!
I love the power of the EB3.5, don't get me wrong, but holy shit do I agree, they sound like a trash compacter with a giant ass turbo on them. Mixed with a knocking diesel.

magnaflow love the sound. Hate tailpipes showing. I’m just about 50. You like whatever sound you go with. Fuck what they say. It’s not there truck

I have not. Well, maybe I have I just didn’t know what it was. That video above with the guys exhaust doesn’t sound half bad! I’m sure it’s not too bad sounding, just to me the v6 doesn’t have that awesome factor sound for this engine.

I had the EB3.5 in my f150 and those with an exhaust sound TERRIBLE. Always cracked me up to hear one. I understand adding one for performance as well as an intake and downpipe’s it just didn’t sound that good

I had originally purchased the Carven system for my truck and over quality is top notch for fit and finish, but it was a little on the loud side. I commute 50 miles one way to work and it’s loud in the truck and well I switched it out for something quieter.
I ended up with the Stromung high tuck system that I purchased from Runnin 4 Tacos. Fit and finish it excellent and I like the tone. Not to aggressive and not loud in the cab. Also love where the tip exits, right next to the front leaf spring hanger on passenger side, which make putting my 33 spare up in stock location without having to worry about exhaust being close to tire.

They are 2 different systems. Not sure why you think borla is a re-branded trd exhaust.

I was just asking. You said you have the borla and your buddy has the trd. I thought you could tell me the difference. A lot of people on here say it's the same.

MBRP sounds great and makes a high clearance dump-axle version for $300 stainless steel. But first option should be getting the reroute and then the aftermarket exhaust

My brother had a 2019 TRD Pro and his exhaust was perfect. It had that nice grouchy sound but it wasn’t too loud or obnoxious above 2200 RPM. I don’t think I’ve heard any other exhaust other than the regular and TRD

If louder exhsust adds power I'm all for it, but if not, I want quiet. I'm old so.

I mean if you get a truck to do a ton of highway driving then just keep the exhaust stock or get a car
