It got up to 54 here today on my afternoon walk. That's T-shirt weather for me Brother! We still have some snow but the woods are clear..........for now.

 

Yup that’s the lake . By road 1.5 miles by woods less than a mile . Still a lot of snow in the woods but a lot turned slushy today . Back to cold weather starting tonight and more snow possibly Thursday,Friday

 

I tried getting some lift tickets to liberty, but they're sold out of Saturday day passes

 

come to Whitetail, night passes - 3pm-10pm are only $64

 

No other takers?? Nobody wants to go skiing Saturday night up at Whitetail from 3 to 10? To be honest I’m getting a little old. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do more then 4 hours but we’ll see.

 

I have done snowboarding; lots of fun

 

We were trying to meet up with some friends at liberty this weekend, but tickets were sold out. Also checked whitetail for lift tickets on Saturday, and it seems they're all booked too.

Thanks for the invite. We aren't really a fan of night boarding. Visibility gets a bit rough and def don't trust people on the slopes. haha

Ended up booking some tickets for February 27th at Liberty

 

ah ok. I grew up skiing at Liberty.. I find it too easy now. Even the blacks are pretty short with the moguls in place. Whitetail is a little bigger. Ive never been to Round Top, but Id like to eventually. Maybe next season.

Or I just need to get out west for "real" skiing, or get into the parks for something more technical.

At least I get some cool compliments on my skis. Line Afterbang 2012 (not the shorty ones). They have some exposed wood on the sides which make them really nice

Yeah. I'm originally from the west coast so I've boarded at big bear, Tahoe and mammoth. The mountains out here are more glorified hills. Haha.

Agreed with your assessment of liberty. Went last year and felt like the runs were too short/unchallenging. We're just trying to get our fix in before the season ends.

 

Unfortunately day passes at whitetail are also sold out. I would have though!!!

 

Good morning! I know someone here needs some 285s...

 

I had a roommate with the same mentality. He always said “why would you want American money going to Japan when it could be going into our economy”. I said, “Toyota and other car manufacturers have plants in the US which creates American jobs for the working class, how is that not supporting our economy?” He wasn’t logical and basically said he would rather support an American company, regardless of where the trucks are built. Just another dumb “bow ties are for gentleman” kind of guy.

 

We are going to do the night ski for Saturday.

 

Are they mounted on those wheels still, or separate? And they're wildpeaks iirc?
