Awesome great to hear. My dakars were inverted from the jump and they are just made for a lifestyle I dont live. Only reason I got them was to guarantee at least 3 inches of lift.

A familiar sound is occurring on my Tacoma - wheel bearings. The right front is crackling and popping worse than my bodies joints after a drunken stuper of a night out. I don't go out btw, I just hang out in my garage lmao. First time I've heard this noise from this truck though. I'm sure the huge heavy rolling stock has noting to do with that wear...

    Lmao

Great idea! I'm stealing this one.

Drove the truck home after installing the diff drop. I had no improvement or worsening of vibrations.
I do need to pull the driveshaft and re-grease the splines.

Did you buy new or find it used? I'm debating going with the ARE DCU like this or a LEER 180CC. Gonna visit some dealers to see them in person.

I assume they were trying to fix their old truck by making it reliable and comfortable.

    QUESTION for the forum...

Is there an o-ring seal between the four bolt flanges that get separated when you remove the rear axle from the differential?
I looked up an illustration of the axle assembly and it looks like there is an o-ring seal... but Toyota is calling it a "ring" and there is no descriptor of what it is or what it does.

Are there any tricks to replacing a rear axle that I should know?

It works decent to haul my kayaks, it's just the Amazon one cut down to fit my cab.
