2021 TRD Offroad, ARE shell ordered and preparing to pull the trigger on a hidden winch setup. Looking for opinions on lift. Figure the shell would benefit from at least an add a leaf type setup but not sure if the winch needs a boost too.

I've read a bunch of threads and lots of info, just trying to narrow it down.

I'll spend what it takes to get the job done, within reason. Would think $3k would cover it.

Theres tons of disagreement and preferences when it comes to the high end brands (King, Fox, Icon, etc.) For $3300 you could grab a "Stage 1" Fox setup from Accutune.com, but unless you plan on wheeling hard, it might be a waste of money.

I think Dobinsons has great products and they will be far better on the wallet than a super high end setup. Thats what I would do
Hit up @Crikeymike exit offroad! He will hook you up

I looked at the Icon Multi Rate Leaf packs, seemed like a good option. What about the front? Curious if the winch needs an inch or so.

Yeah youll probably want to jump up in spring rate slightly in order to support the winch and stay at your desired amount of lift. Again Dobinsons, OME, Bilstein seem to be what a lot of people are running for budget lifts. Any of those three options will have an improvement on performance offroad, but each seems to have a different on road characteristic based on what I've read. Personally I have the standard Bilstein 5100 setup FR/RR with an add a leaf. If I was to do it again I'd go with a full setup from Dobinsons with their leaf pack.

If you get the Icon Add-a-leaf dont forget to grab longer rear shocks

I have a steel bumper, winch & TRD skid (roughly 200lbs of added weight). I went with 700# coils and I feel like I made the right decision. I have ADS 2.5" with remote resis / adjusters.

Right now I have a 3 leaf AAL and got less than an inch of rise with an empty bed and no overload leaf. The Icon RXT leaf packs seem like a great option since you get 3 configurations right out of the box. I will be getting these very soon. I think 4WP has them for less than $600 with their discount and local store pick-up.

For $3k you might be getting into 2.5" territory as long as you DIY. Headstrong has some nicely priced packages for all budgets. Their prices are hard to beat.

Be ready for a LOOOONNNNGGGG wait on that A.R.E. Shell. Just saying. I’m still waiting on mine. Ordered mine on November 30, 2020. Mine is nothing special just a basic shell with windoors, carpet, and tilt fold slide front window and roof tracks. Still hasn’t even left the plant in Ohio yet. By the time I get it on, it will be like 16 weeks. Quoted 8-10
Weeks. So don’t be disappointed when your quoted time comes and goes. Be prepared for your dealer to blame it on A.R.E. However, it will be worth the wait. Take care.

Well that's discouraging. Was hoping it would be here by turkey season.
