I’m sure this question has already been asked, but I’ve searched and can’t find anything.
I’m putting a 3” lift on my truck with the intention of putting 33’s on stock rims (TRD Off-road). My local shop told me I will need wheel spacers, even with stock wheels/tires. Due to cost, I’m planning to do the suspension first and then tires later. All the research I’ve done, nobody has mentioned wheels spacers, so I was a bit surprised. The guy said if I don’t get different wheels or wheel spacers I’ll rub the UCA. Is this true?
This is for 3rd gen TRD Off-road. Putting on Dobinson MRRs w/ new UCAs.

Yes, because you will most likely rub on the upper control arm.

Ok! Thanks. Glad I discovered this before I put on the new stuff. That would’ve sucked to get everything on and then learn about this.

Oh, for sure. The main issue was that you decided on what you wanted before doing the research as to what it might take to accomplish what it is that you want. By researching first, considering all applicable variables, and then basing your decision on everything that you learned, this instance, more than likely, would not have happened. You got lucky this time. Thank your local shop.

Pretty sure what I’m doing IS researching. Including talking to local shops, Internet forums, and other avenues. I haven’t done anything yet, with the exception of deciding what suspension setup I want. This is the part where I’m figuring out what else I need. But thanks for the passive aggressive response.
