New Grille

Saw pics of the grille on the 2011's. Just curious if there are any opinions out there on what people think.

You decide, it's your truck. I didn't trust quality on those 2 ebay ones, didn't want satoshi so 2011 it is. I likes mine.

Warning: Devil horns for 05-10s will not fit the 2011 grill, the emblem is larger on the 2011.

I put a 2011 grille on my '07 when I switched a color match. I bought it though the deal Linwood set up for $185 shipped. I think the new 2011 grilles look nice plus I wasn't really feeling the 2010 grille with the grey center piece.

whats this linwood deal?? i wouldnt mind having a 2011 grille

 

It was a group buy thing from awhile back for color matched 05-10 grills that they are still honoring except he tacks on 10.00 for shipping which makes it 185 instead of 175. Still good deal. Not sure if color matched 11s would be same price, I just got base model black 11.

 

That thing looks beefy. Looks like the center bars won't fade either!

 

IMO the 2011 gille's are ugly. Not a fan of the oversized honeycomb look. But, it's all personal taste, do what suits your fancy.

Call Dave at the parts department and he'll tell you if he'll still do the deal. He was great to deal with and I got my grille in less than a week.

I just did it so I could get more resale value since it's now a 2011 instead of a 2005. Yes, I forged the title and hacked the DPS to change it there too. Also set the odometer back to 0000000.0

 

I think we need a DIY on that one!

I don't much care either way. But if I had to make a choice I'd choose the older style.

 

I think that black center, black honeycomb & impulse red would look great.
I ir-matched a 2009 base grill, the grey center like pugga said, did not go with anything else, the black mirrors, lower grill piece, door handles etc. I ended up selling here. The gray seemed out of place.
I like the newer grill.
Does it come in a base model like the others model years?
Since Toyota doesn't make a factory IR grill, you would be the first to try on a 2011.

 

The one above in my pics is supposed to be base model. That is what I ordered, that is how it came. I did nothing but put it on.
