Not a bad option if it comes down to it.
    Thanks.

If we lived further North most of these problems wouldnt exist.

The medics were busy transporting people all day.
You would've laughed if you saw us last night; 4 grown a$$ dudes doing baby shuffles walking acrossed iced roads with Zoll monitors, flashlights, radios and trauma bags trying to get to the patients because we couldn't pull into parking lots.

I imagine y'all were probably busy as heck too.

Found a generator. 1800W, Just enough to run a heated blanket, small heater, and phone charger. Now that’s some first world living!

You’re not alone. I have absolutely no reason to believe the government will ever get itself figured out. Meanwhile the taxpayers will be forced to endure come whatever may.

My house was not completely unprepared, but we weren’t as ready as we should have been. Lesson learned.

I hope you’re keeping your gas cans full because the next crisis will be fuel. Again.

That's true, the problem here is the infrastructure and lack of proper thermal insulation for the plants that I work at. These plants are made for mild winter and hot summers. Plants up north are almost all enclosed or have proper heating elements. These freezing Temps wreck all kinds of havoc on non insulated transmitter lines and all kinds of outdoor equipment.

i think if the candle was bigger more btu's woulda been felt, I mostly did it for my dogs which laid around it.

It was a one way door, AMR was like 10hrs behind and acadian was like 14hrs behind. city was mostly bringing gip/hospice pts that had no o2 or uncontrolled dm due to no insulin. at least most of my cases. The ones that left basically got a ride in a cop car or fire truck cause they came back.

I put gas in my truck on the way back home from work yesterday. Ive been looking for a place for non-eth fuel to store. consumers are always the ones that pay.

    This.
They were warned by the leg investigation "last time" to harden the resource. They opted for more cheap fuel, thereby having "plenty on hand" next time. Like we buy extra rubber boats after hurricanes. There, "prep".

    You still got water?
I'm trying to balance what little we are getting. We have a boil notice, and I got some from the pool boiled, and more on hand - there is JUST enough pressure to use the toilet and let it refill. But I finally turned off the hot drip I had in the far sink, because I don't want to run the heater out of water. At low 20's tonight, we have enough house heat to be fine with pipes, and I have a cold drip that runs through the soft water back out the front to a covered spigot. It WAS dripping..... fingers crossed that there is enough flow not to freeze up where I can't control.
