    Today i.took it back apart and drilled about 1/8 inch in the top 2 holes of the grille with a step bit. This allowed the studs of the OEM garnish to go a little more on the top. I drove about 10 miles with no error so far. :fingerscrossed:
    I usually get the error on my hilly gravel driveway

    Any updates bud? I have the stock grille and ive been getting the "off" warning light sll the time during cold night. This TSS is crap and annoying wish o knew j would have purchased a 2017

    Same issue im completely stock light comes and goes. Still havent been to the dealer. Waiting for my 5k service visit

    Mad Hornets grill and garnish.
    No errors since install, never noticed any difference with the functions.
    Light comes on every once in awhile with snow/ice. Snow along the top of the windshield will cause the light to come on as well I believe.

    I do swap back to the stock every time I go to the dealer to avoid any issues with them over it, no issues or errors swapping back and fourth.

    I've played with my grill and garnish, still getting an error. I've done the following:

    1. Made sure both side bolts on the TSS sensor are tightened down
    2. Checked that grille clips are fully clipped in
    3. Added 1/8" of spacer to top sensor bolt by adding some washers
    4. Added a drop of hot glue to garnish to make sure it holds in place
    5. I am using the following garnish https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-OE...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

    There are 390 sold, so I would think it's a reliable source for a garnish? Anyone have additional suggestions for making the error disappear?

    It was posted on here by a user that even by just disconnecting the TSS during installation of the grill, thats enough to cause the sensor to be thrown out of whack and would need to be recalibrated even if going back to original grill? Is there any truth to that anyone?

    I installed on my SR5 about 2 weeks ago, getting the clean sensor error. I realized that the sensor is attached to the grill/garnish by only one screw at the top, is this correct? Seems like it was that way when I removed it to replace the grill. Thanks!

    I bought a knockoff TSS garnish from Amazon for ~$40CAD for my 2020 TRD Offroad after swapping to a genuine "heritage style" grille (with the camera space) from sparksparts back in October.
    No issues whatsoever. No recalibration, no shimming. Nothing.
    I just swapped everything from my OEM grille over to the new one, modified my camera bracket (cut it slightly shorter and bent with vise for correct camera angle).

    To this day, I am not positive what "re-calibration" is comprised of. Software based? measurements & shimming? I've never come across a procedure that would take place at a dealership for example.

    My input probably doesn't mean a heck of alot, but from my experience, the knock off garnish at a fraction of the OEM cost was worth it.

    Dealer wanted (parts only, no install):
    $500.00CAD for Grille
    $361.94CAD for Garnish
    $210.00CAD for black emblem overlays
    $85.00CAD for black tailgate lettering
    $250.00CAD for Tailgate lock

    I didn't buy anything from the dealer...

    I'm curious as well on what this dealership ship Aholes refer to as "re calibration" i tried to buy a OEM grill today they denied me. I called and asked how much was the recalibrate my sensor they said $420

    Sparks Parts works... but you need to provide a TRD Pro VIN to purchase one now from what I know. Sounds like there are plenty of options for tracking one down. I wouldn't be too scared off about the "recalibration" stories. Worst case, it sounds like you might need to shim a TSS sensor for it to function properly, but that leads me to think that the grille wasn't molded or produced properly in the first place?
    I would say screw it, pull the trigger and do it yourself to save all the $$$. Then troubleshoot yourself if it gives you sensor issues.

    I've had my grille covered in dirt, ice, and slush - still worked just fine.
    Some have reported that it gives them problems if the garnish gets dirty or its raining out...
