I really like the looks and functionality of that Bakflip MX4. More than I want to spend but I would consider it. But I have the factory bed liner in my Tacoma and wonder if this tonneau would install easily with this bed liner? Also, I have the rubber bed mat. How would the drain hose install around that?

Factory bed liner? Are you talking about the regular bed. The MX4 uses the mounting hole that the rail is in on both sides and actually relocates the rail so that it is still useable. I just drilled the bed in the front and cut one piece of tubing in half so the run was short.

Ok..just watched a video and saw how the existing rail is relocated. But since I have the rubber bed mat not sure how the drain tube could get around that other than drilling through the mat itself. There are three small holes already in the bed liner for drainage. Do I have to install those drain tubes? Is there that much water that can get into the bed without them?

Put me down as another happy customer with the Lomax from @GotExhaust (are you getting tired of me tagging you yet? :p).

The only thing to note is the black aluminum does get hot in the summer sun but maybe they're all like that...?

That's too bad, I wonder if it's C19 related or some other matter.

Like I said, i just drilled holes in the front end of the bed and ran the tubes through. The water drains between the bed and the cab. I didn’t want to do anything to my bed mat

Here is a post of the BakFlip MX4. It includes pics of how the drain hose was installed.

Easy install. No big leaks. Fits with or without deck rails. Has the hardware for deckrail install. Watch that guy's video how tough it is. Has 6 hold down points. With deckrail. Has threaded blocks that slide in the rail. Then an angle bracket bolts to the blocks. I was able to thread the bracket to the blocks first then slide it into the rail. Here's a shot of the hardware. Seller says 3 year warranty.

I just ordered an Extang Solid Fold 2.0 from autoaccessoriesgarage.com and got a discount from them on their online chat box for about $100. Worked out to be about $40 less than retail price out the door. For me it was the best option because it is strong and durable, and the seal is very good at keeping the bed clean and dry. IMO it is one of the best covers for the money. Extang also has a great warranty and customer service.

I’m planning to replace my Lund Genesis soft trifold with a hard tonneau cover. i stumbled upon this one from RDJ Trucks - TRAVEL-PRO 65-SERIES HARD TRI-FOLDING TONNEAU BED COVER. Also available from Amazon.

Anyone here have any experience with this particular tonneau cover? It looks solid but it would be nice to hear from people who are using or have used it. Thanks.
