Don’t think I came across a thread in regards to “downgrading” headlights. I apologize in advance if there is one. I ended up just doing a quick search on the topic. Drop the link if a thread exists. If there isn’t one, I just want to know if it’s possible. If so, how do you or how would you go about doing the conversion?

Edit: Conversion in regards to downgrading the OEM Sequential LED Headlights on the 2020-21 to the OEM LED Headlights from the 2016-19 models.

    thanks in advance!

It could be done pretty easily. I'll make you the harnesses if you give me a deal on the LED headlights you want to get rid of :D

Shoot haha nah man it doesn’t have anything to do with me. Was just a question in regards to the headlights eventually going out on a 20-21 when others are looking for a “cheaper” OEM alternative. As for myself, I own a 19 not a 20-21 lol

Dang, thought I'd be getting a deal

Anyway, it wouldn't be too hard to do. All the signals are there in one plug, you just have to separate them out to the corresponding plug for the non-LED version. KInd of the exact opposite of the harness people use to go from the 16-19 to the 20-21 LED fixtures. The one thing I could see being a potential issue might be the wire size, so I would probably run LED bulbs as opposed to incandescent ones just to reduce the amperage.

Thank you. As for older model OEM headlights with LED DRLs, would it be as easy as a plug and play downgrade when installing them into the 20-21? Just wanted to confirm because you only mentioned the OEM non-LED headlight. Or did I miss it haha

Yeah, it could all be done plug and play. I would consider an additional ground maybe, but that would be all.

FWIW the 16-19 headlights are not LED and the 20-21 headlights are much, much better performing because they throw the light much further down the road
