My boss told me he didnt care if i burned pto or not for the time that ive missed, tomorrow will be 4 days offline for me. It wouldnt hurt too bad if i had to but its good to know where the leadership stands on this.

 

I hope you are able to make it. I would like to see less no and more yes to the meet up. We might need to drag jaybird to the meet up. He doesn't live to far away from it.

Also what does everyone do for a living? I am a UPS driver. We haven't worked all week so far and it sounds like they might get us to come in tomorrow. I am hoping not because I don't think some of the drivers have ever driven on ice. We shall see.

Yeah, Sunday is the last day of our quarantine. We always do Sunday lunch with the inlaws, and it was going to be my wife’s birthday lunch with her family, but not anymore. We’ll know more tomorrow.

my dad used to take us fishing on that old bridge that slowly goes into the lake. can't remember what its called, but we used to set up 20-30 fishing poles and catch crappie, sandbass & hybrids.

here's the view from my bedroom. it's a mile across and totally frozen. the brazos river channel is about 40ft from the end of my dock.

 

So ready for these 60+ temps coming in a few days.

Well, looks like I might be getting back in a Toyota to replace the Tacoma after all. As much as I want a full size, and as much as I've liked the Denalis I've been test driving, it just doesn't fit in the plan right now. Looking into another 5th gen 4Runner now.

I'm near the downtown area and fortunately haven't had power go out. My wife and I did have to pick up my in laws since they lost power for 2 days. Hope everyone out there is safe.

 

We just got a teams chat that revealed the boss intends to send out the official report-to-work notice this morning. All employees immediately replied to the message signaling their unanimous intent to call in sick.
