That's a lesson I learned the hard way too. Bought a Ford Windstar then dumped it at a loss 6 months later. Not gonna deal with a company whose policy is to screw it's customers.

I have a 12 Escape that my son drives. Over 160k and still going. That was the last year of that version.

Very cool build! Looks like you opted for a water pump for pressure versus using your air to pressurized your water tank?

I have things to do, but...... it's been too cold, snowy, and salty.

    More snow coming tonight. Ugh!

Starting to fall back in love with my truck again after hitting a piece of plywood on the highway. This truck is my very first new vehicle, the wife always got taken care of first. Guess this is my mid life crisis. On Christmas eve 2020 on my way home from work, the truck in front of me ran over a sheet of plywood. It caught air and I hit it square going about 65. Important thing is no one got hurt. I am not going to lie and say it sent me into all sorts of emotions. I even thought about taking the finical hit and getting a new one. The whole "it will never be the same" is still burnt in my mind. I am slowly getting over it, but it still stings. it took well over a month to get fixed. I still cant believe how much it cost to fix, the total was over $14,000.00

Yes I have read a lot of bad stuff about the Escapes. Guess we got lucky on ours. I tried to talk wife into a new RAV4 but she has not had a single problem with her Escape after 40k miles. Been to Florida a few times. I put $10k down on hers so it was cheap for her. She used to have a Highlander and didn't want another one. My 13 was cheap, excellent carfax report, used and it too has been trouble free with 65k miles. I was not looking for an Escape. It just was a super cheap deal with zero problems. Bought from rich family $4k under bluebook. A good friend bought a new 17 Highlander and it stays in the shop. You just don't know when you buy something. In my experiences, after owning nearly 50 vehicles, I have had excellent service out of my Toyota and Ford vehicles. The problems I had with the 16 Taco were "1st year of new design" problems. Much more trouble than I expected. It is completely trouble free now. I just don't drive it. I just think it is funny that the 16 Tacoma had more repairs done than any vehicle that I have owned in 45 years. More trouble than the new 1985 Dodge K-car we had for 5 years. Any vehicle that we owned was sold as soon as problems started occurring. If I find the right new Toyota I will probably trade the Tacoma and Escape in to buy it. Probably a 4runner with a 4.0 engine.

I gave up my heated garage years ago to live in a lake. Sadly, not enough room here to build one.

So far this week I have done nothing to my Tacoma, but I have beaten my wallet up pretty bad. Ordered a bunch of accessories and mods for the Taco. I’ll eventually get them once this winter weather goes away and deliveries can start up again.

Yeah. I found it on Amazon warehouse deals for $77. I've seen these pumps on fishing boats.

I like how this sits flush with the panel... Do you have a link to these? I can only find the ones that have like... a 1/4" gap around them.
    Thanks!

Several days ago, I asked someone with power in here to send him an email on my behalf. I still have not heard anything from him. If I do get any kind of response, I will post it in here and try to contact the ones that have sent me PM's about him.

I had both and prefer the spotter. RAV4 had a glare at night that double vision headlights for me (it’s was kinda hard to see/focus) and I like having the rear tires/lines in view.
