    Did they give any reasoning?

Just like other things, everyone in the internet says it's super easy and cheap to find a shop to do it, in the real world that's not the case. At least not for me either.

One shop said they wouldn't retube with a smaller dia and "small yoke doesn't go into big tube buddy"
Another shop said he could do it but he'd be changing out yokes to fit a bigger dia tubing and it'd be $230 all said and done.
Found a used one 2 hours away for $200 so trying to go that route but its a junk yard and they aren't pulling parts for the rest of the week so it'd be next Friday by the time I could get over there

Finally went the switchback route. Got a setup from Ricky Evans on Facebook. Swapped out the relay and the rest was plug and play.

love it! And now I have LEDs for rear blinkers and tail lights. All I need are decent LED reverse lights and the damned Dome Lamp... that stupid thing.

while I was replacing the relay, I yanked out the linear spring and installed a brake pedal spring. What a difference!

It isn't, but I'd be waiting on parts then for him to do all the work to it. Might as well get an oem for $30 less at that point. If I hadnt found one within 2 hours of me I'd for sure go that route.

If you don't plan on using it much it looks great! If you do, I think you'll find yourself getting hung up on the LCA and diff mounts.

Any have any pictures of where to tie in for a reverse camera? Preferably closer to the rear of the truck? I’ve read under the trim drivers seat or under the dash somewhere? Not 100% and I suck at electrical work.

Under the carpet directly under the driver seat is the electrical junction where the tail light and fuel pump harness plugs in. Your reverse light signal is in there

Yeah I probably should’ve given a little bit more info on this. More than anything, it’s to protect the lower radiator area while trying to maintain a decent approach angle. I don’t wheel super hard or anything so I’m not as critical on performance as other people might be, but it still is a factor, so any constructive criticism anyone has to lend on this little build is appreciated.

My longer term plan is to add on a second section that will cover the LCA mounts and Diff mounts. I want it to be separate that way I can quickly unbolt it for oil changes and alignments without having to dismantle the whole setup. I’m putting that off for a little while though until I build a better setup for bending tight a radius.

Technically Tuesday I guess, but I've been driving since I took the photo so it feels like today.

Brought back some great memories, @Digiratus @Blackdawg.

It was pretty special to be able to show it to @mrs.turbodb, esp. after we weren't able to get there last year.

Definitely cooler, but quite pleasant. 60's during the evening, high 40's at night.

We went about halfway down in the morning. Decided to turn around and explore more of the plateau, rather than continue down. There's actually quite a bit of cool stuff that I hadn't seen the last time I was there.

Getting there was a little nerve racking. Not because of the road, but because we'd stopped along the way - about halfway between the Bar 10 and the point - to do a little searching for rock art on some surfaces that seemed promising. As we were looking around, we heard a vehicle pass. Dang. Then, just as we were returning to the truck, a full-size truck with pop-up camper came rumbling down the road - so now two vehicles "in front" of us - didn't expect that in the middle of the week.

We jogged the rest of the way back to the truck and a little speed allowed us to catch up to the pop-up, which thankfully pulled to the side. Then, as we got another mile or so down the road, here comes a rental jeep back up towards us. Our fingers crossed, we rumbled onto the plateau to find all the camp areas open. We took our pick, and then the pop-up folks eventually picked a spot over by the side canyon.

    Lucky us!
