I was surprised how fast that Harrop engaged when I was sitting in a hole with the right front wheel up in the air.
I just eased off the brake and it was ready to do some bidness. Saved my ass from an embarrassing situation.

Meanwhile, there were two different threads I just posted an emoji in.

They were threads that were in the BST section that also had items new in box, unopened at all.

They're still up at the moment and the members remain ban-free.

I'm telling you, someone has a stick up their ass.

I've read that a lot about the Harrop lockers.

I sold mine because I plan on something different in the future; being realistic and getting an idea of cost+parts gathering versus buying a separate rig, etc.

Ideally, it's cheaper buying a solid axle rig.

But then I'm buying someone else's basket case...

well...it does take someone to hit the report button in most cases I think, I don't think mods comb through every thread looking for ban worthy comments. Although they might in the BST, I dunno. You may have a secret admirer

Hardest part when I got mine was getting the rear supported in a different location. Had to find a scissor jack and lift the rear to remove the stands that are under the axles.

This yard will move the stuff around for you if you need to get to something. I've used the engine pulling gantries to lift the rear of pickups before too.

It's almost a shame that this rig isn't somewhere up north where it can be fully utilized. Like it's totally in its element in this picture.

So with the winch it’s right at 110#

    I’m thinking I need 881 coils

That's how I feel when I see a husky dog living in SoCal esp during summer, poor thing needs to be where it's cold

881s don't support any more weight than the stock springs do really. But it'll give you more room to sag I guess as they are lift springs

110# isn't all that much I guess, compared to someone with a full steel bumper + winch and skids

With the full bumper and winch I'm pushing 148#

Yea looking at the spring ratings I think 883’s are to much

I think the 2” lift the 881’s give will go down a bit which is fine, less lift the better I think.
