Still think TITNC3: Return of the Iceberg was peak

I got into the green on AMC for a few brief moments and then nothing but red. I'm still playing the make up game from that since I lost probably $7 or so (I only had one share).

Welcome to the group! Glad you can jump in. I lost right at a couple G's on GME. I haven't lost any on AMC. In on it at $9 average right now and that's with my $13 shares still in the mix. Trying to get rid of those $13 shares so i'll be in at about $7 with it. That's why i'm slowly doing to the math to sell my profits so i can cut even on those shares first.

 

$AMC was one of my long plays back in March when I bought the others. I got in a few times between $2-$3 for about 81 shares. I sold them off in Dec. for a $300 profit and then it fell below $2 and I was pleased with my play. Then the FOMO hit during the $GME fun and I bought my 81 shares again, but this time at like $9 and paper handed it for a net loss even considering my original $300 gain from last year

And to add insult to injury I looked at my 1099 last night to realize I sold those off just in time for those gains to be taxable in 2020

sold off what i put into riot and riding the leftover. zom in at .028ish so riding that until the product release and re-evaluate.

 

Someone smarter than me care to explain Roth tax's at the end of the year on trading unlike 401's. Roth is already taxed pre because the money that you put in it has already been taxed but when it comes to gain's on day/yearly trading. Is it 10% tax at the end of the year?

i'm not a tax pro...but a ROTH gains should be tax free.

 

I have no sympathy for someone who took out a loan to buy $GME at prices not supported by material value...

 

Avoiding political discussion, y'all are giving a lot of preemptive credit to those folks in this hearing that can barely tie their shoes on their own. The FB hearings were a preview of just how ignorant this hearing was going to sound, and now there's technical stock trading aspects to be examined

I thought that was the case as well just want to make sure before i use some of the money in it for continuous day trading.

No taxes on Roth gains until you start disbursements. You can trade tax free as much as you want.

 

Holding though the trials...Look at the volume..average today.
