John and I have been exchanging PMs since he joined TW almost 3 1/2 years ago. He is a great guy and it is understandable why so many here have been concerned about his well being. Today I contacted @tcBob to see if he could contact John by his personal email and he gave me the following response.

After running King Shocks ( amazing shocks )on my Toyota Tacoma for 4 Years it was time for a change. I’ve been holding on to some Locked Off Road bump stops for a while now, so I figured why not run their whole entire setup and bring some input to the table.

I had always bought ford trucks in the past, and been happy. I had an F250 before my Taco. I bought my daughter a 2014 Ford Focus as her first car about a year ago. It was having some shuddering when she would accelerate. I called a shop, and before I could even tell the guy what it was doing, he said go google Ford Focus transmission. It turns out Ford put a bad designed transmission in this car, and new it was bad and sold it anyway. They have been sued, and several of their engineers admitted Ford knew this was a bad transmission, but still sold it anyway. I will never buy another Ford. If you want to be appalled, go google and look at what Ford did with this transmission. There is no fix. They extended the warranty on the transmission and have fixed ours even though it was outside of the factory warranty, but it is just a band aide for a bad design that can never really be fixed. I have it up for sale now. I hate to even sell the car to someone.

Well tw has done it before (but in regards to scammers etc)… find his ass with little info. Pixel peekers look into his posted photos. Wasn’t it Maryland? Look for a tag, find full name, look into phone book (old ppl still use landlines).

    A bunch of shit...
Sadly, that sounds like most industry as a whole these days. They go cheep and just hope they don't get caught. Seems like everything these days is designed to last exactly one day longer than the warranty.
