Time off for me is the worst. I'm salary and technically operate like my own company so I can take whatever I want, but since I don't have any set time I feel guilty. But I take a lot of Fridays. Tomorrow will be another one! I am riding my sled from Henniker to Pittsburg. Should be a hoot.

i don't know where you are but try Stills Power Equipment in Manchester NH. They have a bunch of everything and they don't seem to bullshit anyone. Good experiences from people I know.

Haha, it could be. I'm hoping it's not. If luck is with us we should have some pretty good conditions. We are getting a light coating of snow before I leave at first light tomorrow which should get us over where the rain feel the other day without it being miserable. And within the first 3 hours we should be far enough north that we are on snow that never saw rain the other day. The route I have planned out is 205 miles. I'm thinking just my buddy and I can do that in 12-14 hours.

Don't get too excited about adding adaptive cruise... Yes, it's possible but it's a complete pain in the dick install and programming and not cheap either! There was a write up on the Ford forum, reading through that was enough for me to not even want to try it. It's not user friendly to add on.

    Hey everybody,

Some of you may remember I said I was going to be moving to New England from California awhile back. At the time I thought me and the wife would arrive before Thanksgiving. Boy was I wrong. Anyway, I'm here now finally and have been for a few weeks now. We're living in Londonderry, NH. Just wanted to say what's up and thanks to all the helpful people on here. My old 2003 PreRunner is up for sale in California and we just bought a 2018 TRD Off Road. I'll attach a picture. I'm planning on removing the running boards in case anyone nearby needs any. They are in decent shape but have a little rust. I'm planning on doing some mods of course, the first thing I did was install some Husky floor mats!

Speaking of rust, I'm curious what you all do to prevent rusting. There's a place near me that does POR-15, wondering if I should do that, or something else (I talked to another place that does woolwax). There seems to be a lot of conflicting opinions out there.

Hope everyone is having a good week!

No, for sure - the hardware was about a grand, and you had to do the install which seemed a pain in the balls, AND you had to calibrate it too. BUT. The base truck was about 35k and the one that had it from the factory (in the F150 line, at the time) was minimum like 50-55k, I think Premium and Lariats had it (as an option/package, so you had to get option packages above and beyond the up-trim). So, for 1k and a slight pain, you save ~25k if that's a must have.

It was a must have. It no longer is.

@jmferg I think we get ours at RG Mearns or Colony Hardware, commercial account for the job site. We bought 2 rubber tire models a couple months back. If you have places like that out your way, maybe give them a shout.

Welcome! You chose a decent summer, this one was more snow than last year and still relatively mild to adjust you to this area

In regards to your undercoating, everyone has an angle. The woolwax dealers are obviously going to say....theirs is better. :notsure: realistically, just pick one and stick with it.

@jpereira2 does a bunch down in SE Mass. Joiiiinnnnn usssss.

Wool Wax or Fluid Film, a few guys on here do it, but some shops will too. Wool Wax is also called NH oil as well by some shops.

My Lariat has it. You have to have a 502a truck and add it as a standalone option on top of that. I think it becomes standard on the upper King Ranches and Platinums. It's nice to have, but I wouldn't have ordered the truck with it. I just don't do enough interstate driving.

Williamstown is my local store. Its late in the day, and we've had alot of big storms and this one might be a dud, so hopefully it will be there for you.
