    You know after I typed my question out, I thought...fuck...unless I find a smog shop that'll overlook an F150 tank in the 4R, I'll fail smog rendering it a trail rig only :facepalm:

    Forgot that as part of emissions, a vehicle must have the same fuel tank as supplied via OEM.

    Your response helped, thanks :rofl::thumbsup:

    Oh yeah no I wouldn't be using Toyota axles.

    I just know Ford 1 tons are used in a lot of builds and are favored for several reasons.

    I had toyed with seeing what aftermarket companies support Ram truck axles as I can get axle housings for free.

    3/4 ton axles changed up over the years on Ram trucks.

    They were leaf in the rear for so long until maybe 2017 or so that they went coil in the rear.

    1 ton rear axles are still leaf.

    Just hang off the angle iron in the back, easy enough to drill holes in it though

    Yeah no that's true; I guess it was more the other shit like gears and locker availability on the Ram axles versus Ford.

    I'd expect Ford to have a shit ton more options which is why people continue to choose them.

    Yea don't do that LOL!! I would get a 14bolt rear, ford 60 front with some auto lockers and find some underpowered jalopy to swap that all into and go have fun on the trails.

    Unsure; I could end up in Fowler or Clovis if not in Fresno itself.

    I do know the outer counties could give a shit less.

    I remember texting @eon_blue when I was in a town of 1,309 people (Prather)...no one was wearing a mask, everyone seemed to know everyone and they were cool as shit even though I was the only colored dude there :anonymous:

    One guy in another 4R stopped to hit me up about my truck, and that was it.

    I can guarantee a place like that doesn't have smog requirement.

    We've never had a Power Wagon come in for an issue with their axles, or in general actually.

    If I said "I am going to use Power Wagon axles exclusively for my SAS" I'd probably still beat Dallas getting his LT on :crapstorm:

    @JKO1998

    I know you obviously looked through the site when you looked at the winch mount, but did you look over to see the other pictures shown for the 'shackle' option?

    It's as if you were using an aftermarket bumper; your skid remains in the stock location unless it's specifically different for 01 and up?
