Hey guys have a quick question bout this setup. I have a 2008 DC TRD SPORT 2WD. I was looking at buying the 5100 setup with OME 885 coils but noticed that with my setup being a 2 wheel drive, non 4wd, that it would expect a 3" lift rather than a 2.5". I run stock sport wheels/tire size now and will prob be going with new wheels/tires but wondering if I should maybe consider the OME 884 coils since they offer a 2.5" lift rather than the 3.0" even though the setup i'm looking at includes a multi leaf AAL and Dirt King UCA's. any help appreciated... thanks guys as always! The salesman was great and told me the 885's are their popular choice. seems like they have great deals goin on now... link to setup below.

885s on 5100s with headstrong AAL and overload removed.

Got almost to the hundredth of an inch exactly what headstrong’s lift chart said.

    Ride is fantastic.

Old thread... but I recently went from a 3 inch leveling kit from Rough Country to Bilstein 5100 + OME 885’s with the billies set to 0. I’ve been having pretty severe tire rub issues and my lift looks clearly shorter than it was with the spacers. I had stock UCA’s with the 3 inch spacers and still do. I’m wondering if I bumped up my bilsteins to 0.85 position with the OME 885 and stock UCA’s if I would run into any issues. I’m just trying to achieve the height I had before with the spacers for the sake of the looks and less aggressive tire rub. I’ve read on here that you shouldn’t set the billies above 0 with stock UCA’s, but I had more lift with the spacers and stock UCA’s and had no problems. Thanks.

Did you have severe tire rub issues when you had the 3" leveling kit as well? Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I researched, your height wont change even if you set the bilsteins to .85 position w/ OME's. It could also be your wheels and tires. What size & offset wheels/tires are you running?

I had a little rub with the leveling kit but not nearly as bad as now. I’m running BFG KO2’s 285/70/17 with stock TRD sport wheels & 1.25 in spidertrax wheel spacers.

i’m running 885 5100’s headstrong 1/4 top spacer and total chaos uca and i have 285/70’s and didn’t rub that bad to be honest with you. Didn’t do a cab mount chop or anything either.
i had to trim a little bit of plastic but nothing extreme.
I have trd pro wheels as well

Could be. It’s just weird that with the same setup I never had any issues rubbing when I had the 3 inch level kit and now with the 5100’s it looks shorter and rubs

Yup I think most folks running 285/75/16 or 285/70/17 had to do a CMC.

Are you running wheel spacers? If so, 1.25''?

I had this exact same thing happen to mine, I was happy with the height of my cheapo spacer lift but wanted to lift the right way and went 885/5100 and saw the truck look lower and now rubbing at full lock. I may add tophat spacers back in up front, I'm not in love with 5100 set at 0/885. I have sliders, topper, front skid, maybe I should've gone 887 on my dclb 2nd gen.
