Yep. These trails are not 2wd friendly and will keep most overlander and mall crawler at bay, unlike bald. That's where you'll find peace and quiet. No log jam and you won't find everyone and their mom trying to take a picture on the smallest rock their rig is on for the first time.

Bold of you to assume we won't.

The group consists of more naysayers of pineapple on pizza...but I can make an exception for your kind. Afterall, we're all a little fucked ourselves anyway:rofl:

Down for a solid date so I can ensure the rig isn't broke in some kind of way/time to prep.

We still have to do a little get together with @eon_blue

I know he's got some maintenance needed as do I, not to mention a few other members here have shit to do to get their truck ready.

If anyone needs help working on their rigs I'm pretty handy and have all the tools. I'm not to far from @eon_blue either

Fortunately a lot of us already do so but that's awesome you'd offer.

I just don't want to do my upper control arms; I've got the tools...but don't want to fight an UBJ out of the spindle......

We should do a mod/maintenance day when @Kwikvette comes down

I have a driveway but it's old and beat up... It'll work though if we don't have anywhere else lol

    Speaking of trails:

I've put together a KMZ map of the area. I went ahead and bought a year subscription to TrailsOffroad to gain access to more trail gpx files. If anyone wants anything from there, let me know.

There's a bunch of stuff in it, most of which we probably won't use, but I figured what the hell. I also plopped several potential dispersed campsites that I could ID from google earth.

That Ershim trail you mentioned looks pretty extreme and by the interwebs is a ~4 day trail. I didn't see any cutoffs (to shorten the trail), but that doesn't mean they don't exist...

Seems like enough to keep us entertains for a few days...

Good idea. I'll probably be due for some LBJ's and upper uniballs by then. Ill probably need some other small things too like a SAS or something

I'll have to check it out on Gaia when I get a chance after work.

Would love to check out a few other areas if I decide to make the trip there next week as my fiance has been going back into work so I'll have hours to kill this Tuesday.

Just sucks that Dinkey Creek Trail is closed at the turn off from Bald Mountain OHV, which is in the same spot Dusy Ershim is....but turns off into another trail?

They don't exist. It's three times longer then the Rubi and a tiny bit harder. Thompson Hill is no joke.
