I had been looking for a used Tacoma but they hold their price so well that you can buy new for almost the same as used. That said, I got an email from AAA for the car buying service . Put in 2021 Tacoma and within 30 minutes I had 2 offers from dealers within 30 minutes of home. There is another dealer 5 minutes away but no offer. I got the email from them on Thursday 2:48 PM and drove the car home Friday @ noon. It was a 2021 Tacoma SR, Magnetic Gray with 3.5L. Came with winter/rubber mats, door sills and 5" oval black tubes for $31,850, between 500 and 600 over invoice (according to Edmunds), $2,457 below MSRP including the $1,000 factory cash back.

Just put a deposit down on build to order what I wanted. Started with Costco program and had a lot of back and forth and some wrong numbers quoted to me which maybe helped. Was going to get $41k OTD with remote tailgate lock but was told last minute they couldn't add that to this build, so OTD price dropped to $40,850.

    1. 2021 Off Road, Army Green, 6MT, DCSB
    2. MSRP(before dealer add ons) - $42,444
    3. Options
    - Advanced tech package
    - Premium Off Road
    - LED lights and fogs
    - Black emblems
    - Door sill protectors
    4. Cost of dealer add ons - $0
    5. Price before Tax Title License (TTL) including incentive/rebate - $38,642
    6. Discount (% off MSRP) - 9.1%
    7. Incentive (rebate/customer cash) - $750
    8. Price Out The Door (OTD) - $40,850
    9. Trade in vehicle - N/A
    10. Kelley blue book trade-in value - N/A
    11. Date purchased - 2/13/2021
    12. State purchased - Minnesota (live in North Dakota for taxes, 5%)

Costco program gives you 50% off accessories up to $200 I think, so I was going to pickup all weather floor mats and maybe bed liner when I finally get to pick it up in 2 to 4 months hopefully!

I thought your MSRP was off so I did a build on Toyota.com. It is amazing how much more this is when al you do is change from manual transmission to automatic. Your MSRP is right. If all you do is change to an automatic, it adds ~$2500 to the MSRP.

Just bought my first truck and first toyota today. 2021 Tacoma SR5 2WD V6 with as few options as possible. black wheels, magnetic gray ext. I spent the last 3 months contacting every dealer in the state of GA trying to whittle down the OTD price.

Finally settled on $32,500 out the door. No trade in, no financing. My next closest offer was 33,500 with predator step bars.

Haha yeah. I've missed driving a manual for years so when I started looking for a midsized truck the Tacoma was a no brainer for me. I know the MPGs drop but $2500 buys a lot of gas at the difference.

Picked up my 2021 OR DC that I ordered in November last Thursday.
Dealers around me would not budge or price match and these guys sold under MSRP which was not happening any where else.

You have to take into account that the Automatic gets JBL, crawl control, push button start and all that wireless stuff like touching the door handle to open it, remote starting, etc. all of which adds to the cost beyond the transmission.

And all of which I would NOT trade my manual transmission for!

Agreed. Factory remote start is the only thing I really wished worked with the manual. Outside temp hasn't been above 0°F for over a week!

I'm looking to do almost the exact same thing minus the advanced tech so MSRP ~41,550, and I'm loving that 9% discount, wasn't expecting that. I'm in Minnesota too, What dealer did you order through?

I'm in southern Cali and I agree with you, its been extremely difficult to find deals here especially for Pro's... your truck config sounds very similar to what im looking for also (LB/SB, 4x4?). Would you mind DM me where and who you purchased from?

Yeah, in an area like that you might have to drive a ways. If you are willing to travel, you can get the deal you want.

I'm trying to locate a TRD Offroad 4x4, DCLB, Army Green, Premium Offroad Package, Advanced Tech and LED headlights in SoCal. I am resigned tothe fact that the only way I get it is if I place and order and pay MSRP (minus if Toyota has any incentives at the time of delivery).

    Really fru$trating.

More production impacts - this time due to weather...

"Toyota said its Texas plant would be idled through Friday, while first shifts would not operate on Thursday at plants in Mississippi and Alabama. In Mexico, the automaker said it would reduce shifts and suspend work in the coming days at its plants in Baja California and Guanajuato."

Around here the ones I was looking at were between $7000-10,000 difference out the door. Weighed my options better off road performance or comfy comfy? Never been off road except maybe dirt trail or some snow to mountain bike, but like to look good and be comfy lol
Plus, and I quote, you can have any Tacoma you want as long as it’s a Tacoma lol.
