    Evening gents :hattip:

Glad to see everyone has been surviving the storm. Made it home this morning with no problem, which was a relief, now I don't have to think about work till Monday :bananadance:

Spent the day with the family, in and out of the snow, kids are loving it and I'm glad I have been here with them both days it snowed. Hopefully everyone gets their power and water back soon. Guess we're lucky where we live and haven't had to deal with loss of power or water. It was nice to see the snow but it's time for it to pack its bags and head back north :D

Enjoy your weekend Danny. Looks like I am going to try a WallyWorld errand in the morning for some things that should NOT be all picked over - never can tell tho! Hoping it will warm enough to make a good check over things before unwrapping the world on Saturday.

Good luck, yeah we're starting to run low on some supplies and will have to hit the store sometime this weekend, definitely not looking forward to that.

Given that the roads have been atrocious for the stores to resupply, I would not even consider edibles until probably Sunday. I need some things we aren't going to eat! And maybe dog food. And I will go to the egg farm on the edge of town if Carol finds they are open.

So because of issues from the weather we will be postponing the meet on the Saturday to March 6th. Sorry if you had plans to come down and hopefully you will be able to still make it in 2 weeks

It is, not sure how true it is but they just said that the entire grid system was within an hour or so from failing and all of Texas would of been without power for possibly a year.

    ya know the media....:infantry:

I really hope this has taught people to prep for inclement weather better. So many of my neighbors were online, asking where they could buy firewood/food/gas. Dude next door was trying to burn oak limbs he'd just cut down.

Well if the fire was hot enough maybe but otherwise no. I would not say we were prepared either but we had enough food etc to get us through without issues. We both have not left the house except my wife was asked to go in on Wednesday but came home by noon due to her work not having power. She has to go in today but on a reduced schedule. I’m being told to work from home again today, so for me it’s been since last Thursday since the truck has moved.

Thanks for the update JP! I should have my second shot, and this gives me a chance to come see y'all!

Morning Robert - hope you and the doggies woke up with power!

Morning Mark - well, that was a true statement - came from the ERCOT CEO himself on TV. I heard him. The surprise Sunday night outages were that decision in action. Stay safe at work!

:pccoffee: Good Morning SA and all! Woke up to a blistering 18*, but Mr. Sunshine already has it to 21*. The faucet gave about twice the flow as last night, so maybe as it gets warm, Lockhart will start pumping water again. Going to try to make a non-food store run later, and then check the thaw process as it gets past freezing, which is supposed to be about noon. Then ONE MORE NIGHT sub-freezing, and we are done. Hope everyone woke up with things restoring or still intact! Stay warm.

We're ok got power back. I get to chill out for awhile since I covered when I was supposed to be off. I want to go to the stores but they'll be a line and I'm sure no goods so ima chill today. Idk if this is a good measuring reference but I got this.20210219_083548_HDR.jpg
