    Interpret it however you like.

You have a foul attitude and I choose to not interact with you any longer.

I personally would consider having to remove my ecu and mail it to someone to recover it worth the price of a genuine tactrix. Anyone else is welcome to try another cable.

I didn’t spend hundreds of dollars on a tune. I bought a used tactrix cable locally off a classifieds site, because that’s what made me comfortable doing the tsb. It’ll also come in handy for a lot of other things.
I don’t have any problem with anyone wanting to go with a less expensive cable. I honestly hope it works well for anyone and everyone who tries it.

I for one would like to see more people flashing with counterfeit Amazon cables. It would be good for for the community to have a larger data set to prove/disprove the hypothesis that cheap cables aren't safe.

After all... It's low risk for me. :notsure:

Just purchased the Carista OBD2 reader. Was able to modify some of the 'Customizations' that are allowed by Toyota. However, I could not find where it will show the ECU info. Can anyone tell me where this would be located on the Carisa App? Went into all three folders and did not see it. I easily could have missed it. Thanks!!

I believe it was called Detailed ECU Info in the Diagnostics menu.

I have used both a Genuine Tactrix cable and Mini VCI Cable. They both work fine doing minor changes like turn signal blinks and light controls, but i never attempted an ECU update with the Mini VCI. I would occasionally get error messages with the Mini VCI that I never got with the Tactrix so I never really trusted it to do an ECU update. On top of that, you are required to load the drivers for the Mini VCI or fake Amazon Tactrix from a cdrom they provide from an unknown Chinese source which had me concerned about viruses on my computer or potentially infecting the ECU. People can do whatever they want, and it may work for them saving them some $$$, but I wasnt willing to take a chance with any Generic cables for an ECU Update. Now I also have the option to upgrade the ECU with VFtuner and OVTune should i decide to in the future.

They make synthetic steak and vegetable burgers that taste just like the real thing! I've never tried them and don't think I will. I can understand how some prefer try other options. Here is to freedom of choice and how you spend your resources. :oldglory:

I tried the Impossible Whopper. It wasn't too bad. Myself, I could probably get along with synthetic protein future for what is trash meals at most restaurants anyway, as long as I could have the good stuff at times.

I still prefer the burgers that I grill at home over charcoal versus anything else.

I'm trying to update my TSB. When I try to open TechStream.exe I get a screen showing it has a virus or wnwanted software. I have Windows Defender turned off including private and Public. Any help out there? On this thread or contact me rpettit2551@gmail.com

Do you have av installed besides windows defender? Mcafee, eset, Norton, malwarebytes, etc? There’s a ton of them out there and some people seem to run multiple for some reason..

No I don't have anything but Windows Defender. I deleted the program and reinstalled to no avail.

    Noob question here...
I am finally getting into this and have all the necessary hard/software. If I want the latest and greatest for my 2016 MT, do I need to flash all previous tsb's or can I just go straight to TSB-0043-20?
