Thats a super bummer, there's no Advanced auto or Autozone near you? They sell AGM batteries and usually come with a 3-6 year warranty.

 

The problem is, i wanted an AGM and nobody has those around here....at least not in stock apparently

 

The guy suggested a place in winchester, that i could have tried.

I mean, I reckon I could’ve gone to hagerstown to get the battery instead of waiting for them to bring it to me, but what it i had to do that twice, because of the situation that happened with the Northstar not being useable? Namsayen?


Plus, with the weather being as wild as its been, i dont need to beat on my poor old 4runner like that...plus, why spend the gas and take the time away from work? Might as well just wait. I’m just frustrated because you used to be able to get anything in this town same day or within a day and now nobody wants to stock anything.

 

I have two napas, two AAP, and two Vatozones. All they ever have in stock is lead acid and napa didnt have a 27F or a 34R in stock in anything.

 

@AR15xAR10 dudes that's ROUGH. I am sort of in the same boat since it's pretty rural down here with limited options, but I typically just get regular lead acids. Most places do have plenty of marine batteries which I could toss in the Tundra in a pinch since it uses a group 27. My boat also has 2 group 27. But like I said before they're all just regular lead acid from Napa. My outboard motor brand (Suzuki) specs lead acid and it's under warranty. I don't want to risk voiding that over a battery.

Long story short, I overthink batteries every time I have to buy one.

Good morning and stay safe. Roads were still dicey this morning from DC to BWI area. Saw a bad wreck on 95 at 32. The refreeze is real.

 

Interstate Mega Tron Plus has always treated me great with a average of 6 years of service. Just like my Duratrac tires, been great on & offroad. My old ass worn Duratracs on my 4runner still perform great getting me up the mountain every weekend even in the snow & mud. So batteries & tires are a no brainer to me.

 

It’s icy as heck out.

I'm debating making the trip to the mountain tonight. Got another 6" of snow then ice on top of what was already up there. The snow doesn't bother me but the ice does.

 

Might be a really tough drive if this stuff does not thaw soon. It supposed to get above freezing. Drive safe if you take the trip

 

Just got back from a partial cross-country road trip to Missouri and Tennessee. MOORE (Missouri Off Road Expo) was a blast and had such a great showing. So many companies and products.

Missouri and Tennessee have a lot of great offroading parks

 

I use to do alot of camping in Tennessee, love it there.

 

Yeah I love my Duratrac’s best tires I’ve ever owned!!

I thought they carried every major brand and size, in stock?

I don't understand the reversible connection thing. Did you switch the wiring at some point? What's the story behind that? I'm just trying to learn things, not criticize.
