I think you'd be able to find someone outside the area to pick up what you need and mail them to you....

Good morning, everyone! We had maybe 2" if snow yesterday and there's another 2" or so on the ground now and it's coming down steadily. Light stuff so it will be easy to shovel/plow. Guess I should have bought the snow blower this year instead of waiting until next. Live and learn.

Be safe out there. I've heard it is something called the weekend. Sounds familiar but I can't remember what that means.:rofl:

    Stay safe and warm!!

Getting our second covid shot in a few days. Have to get the driveway in shape to get the car out to the road. Got about 1/2 done yesterday, I'll finish it today. I can get the truck out easily, but the wife has arthritis pretty bad, hard for her to get in/out. Made a custom step-up for her, works good, but she's more comfortable in the Lexus. Looks like the weather may cooperate today, but stay in the 20's and no sun, which would help, but we have a few days, and the forcast looks good, so I'm on it.

    Morning.
    Got my vaccine call yesterday.
Was excited until I was told I was denied only because of my age.
I have all the listed higher risk issues.
So someone 60 some odd days older than me in good health will get it before someone like
me that was essential and had to keep working and sitting in filthy cars.
Oh well, par for the the course. We are essential until we are not.

    Little dusting happening today.
Just enough to make things slick

Have some more mouse vehicles to diagnose and repair.
    Stay well all.

    Good Morning folks.

Can't like that Mike. Rules are sometimes bent for a good reason(of which it sounds like yours would be) but when it comes to commonsense most people don't have a lick of it. I hope you get a call back to get the shot.

Be safe and be careful folks.

It appears that underlying health issues are being ignored. Probably too much of a mental stretch for bureaucrats to keep track of.
Our governor opened up vaccination to all people 65 and older yesterday, and although "we were first on the list" since God was in diapers we are now on another list to be called if there is an available appointment.
They say patience is a virtue. I'm well practiced at this point.

Dave: I hope the eye problems work out for you quickly.

I feel sorry for Texans. The area was told to winterize the power generators a decade ago and chose not to. On the other hand Oklahoma had the same warning and made the cold weather upgrades.

I am surprised a tar & feather party had not shown up to knock on Rick Perry's door.

On a positive side for our area, the freezing rain stayed to the south of DC last night. Happy Friday everyone.

    Good morning all,

Plowed and shoveled yesterday now we are expecting more snow Saturday night. Still very cold but for us that is not a problem like other parts of the country. Hope all of our Texas friends are safe and relatively warm.

    Stay safe

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning porch! Woke up to a blistering 18*, but Mr. Sunshine already has it to 21*. The faucet gave about twice the flow as last night, so maybe as it gets warm, Lockhart will start pumping water again. Going to try to make a non-food store run later, and then check the thaw process as it gets past freezing, which is supposed to be about noon. Then ONE MORE NIGHT sub-freezing, and we are done. Hope everyone woke up with things restoring or still intact!

Can't say I've been "personally" contacted, but finally some Covid vacc details were on the news. My second shot date would be Saturday, but, needless to say, there's been no vaccine, no place to give it, and no way to get to it for anyone! But, Austin Health IS prioritizing the second shots in the next shipments, and they ARE expected, and they "WILL" contact those in my group to make appointments. SO..

Grocery stores are going to try to restock starting today. I asked the wife to just wait until tomorrow, but you know how she is!

    This is us today. :fingerscrossed:

    Morning all,

glad to see some of y’all’s troubles are nearing an end down there. 10* and cloudy currently with a skiff of snow last night. Last day of Maggie the Lab and I batching it. Wife fly’s back home tomorrow from her sisters.
Going in to work some OT today to get a jump on the upcoming Dr. bills from my procedure. Deductible and co-pay should be met by this so the rest of the year should be covered 100% if needed.

    Have a good day all

My wife and I were scheduled for our second Covid Vaccination shot today.....but.....all the miserable weather north of us caused a delay in shipments of the vaccine. We've been pushed out 8 days. Even so, we're thankful to be warm and still on the schedule. Good luck, everyone, in getting your shots.

    Morning all:

 Funny how the deer can figure things out!

Snowing again, luckily the last few have been just nuisance snows without a lot of accumulation.

!@#$%^&*! snow just keeps coming down! I finally had to clear the driveway because we have to get out for an appointment. Another layer came down since then, oh well.
