Sounds like the next rev needs to be forged from unobtainium, "you guys can't find this stuff anywhere".

As much as I could exploit this type of thing ... I could never forgive myself to resort to slimy sales tactics.

Although, a "Ti-mascus" knob would be just the ticket.

I had a feeling that you might say that.

Lol, that is my canned response any time it comes up.

I still have no words for that, but a few years later I see that behavior in many more people and it's almost normalized in a way. Saddening.

Hahaha! Never forget! And, thoughts and prayers . . .

You are very right, except that it has gotten worse. Somehow I'm still surprised, but the depths know no bounds.

That's where marketing comes in, you have to create the appearance of scarcity or exclusivity even if it doesn't exist. Not necessarily slimey sales tactics but just give a little push, "I have 30 in stock and ready to ship at the moment but I don't plan to do another run this year so if you want one, now is the time to buy before they are gone."

FWIW, Rick did that when he was whipping up that batch. If you slide back to that time in this thread, you'll see his in-process pics and all that.

Well crap, I guess I will keep my day job building airplanes instead of starting my side hustle marketing then, haha.

As @tonered says I do generally say stuff like that, but very few people actually read it. A website would help, because the forum platform is absolute shit for information presentation.

Anybody stumbling into my threads isn't going to automatically read the first post where everything is kept up to date. I see the same questions over and over and over, but it is just the nature of the beast. I've tried many strategies over the past 3 years to organize the information and nothing has worked to any degree of satisfaction.

This latest knob batch was fairly satisfying as most everybody was well informed and questions were lower than usual. The "thrill of the hunt" is what helped here, I think.

I really do need a website, though.

@7r41lbr34k3r, I'm a PA resident just wondering what neck of the woods those very nice shift knobs are coming out of?

Northern Montgomery County, small town of East Greenville. Not very well known, so I usually say 45m north of Philly, or 20m west of Quakertown.
