Its nice to see the snow melting away already this morning even though its still below freezing. I will be glad when all remnants of it is gone.

Definitely, have a lot to do around the house today, indoors of course. I'll start pulling out dead plants and start on the lawn next week.

    Good deal

I'm afraid to see how bad the plant part is going to be.

What could have we done better?

Keep the all information quotes copied or continued add to it.

Let's learn from each other, but not judge each individual decisions made.

I'm will start with some of my deficiencies, I would like yall to share as well.

I should have cut water main off all week and drain pipes, it was a chore to keep up with water breaks, thawing out hose bibs and the pipes(attic)for the washing machine.
More propane, not all my tanks were full.
More capacity in holding fresh water, thinking of purchasing a 20 or 30 gallon RV water tank for situations like this.
I have a ton of firewood, but no log splitter, I also had no extra creosote logs or paste.
A couple of electric blankets, would be easier on the generator vs. the barn heaters. (I had 1 barn heater and propane heater fail this past week.)
My generator needed an air filter, and I never made a hard wire plug in for the breaker box/add transfer switch.
I had very little supply/stock in plumbing parts/fittings.
My attic could use another 6 to 8 inches of blown in insulation. It would have been nice to have a stack of foil backed foam board, and made some tempoary insulated window inserts.

3" Belltech lowering spindles, notched frame, 20" Boyds wheels, chrome steering wheel, dump bed.
One thing I can add is extra fuel. Whenever I park my boat for the winter, I fill up both tanks and add stabil. This gave me 30 extra gallons to pull from.

    Ok can add to this

    No generator
3 propane bottles were empty and about half of one in the grill, been stalling
No way to plug a generator into the system except at the shop
Maybe a 1/4 cord of firewood but don't have an indoor fireplace so kinda a mood point.
Did clear out outdoor plumbing, well turned it off and it drained some. Been wrapped up but that is separate from the house feed. Will find out when I turn it back on tomorrow after the freeze tonight.
Pex tubing in the casa so was not as worried
Water heater could use some extra protection
