Update from me since everyone was clearly desperate for one (yes, I jest).

Didn't make the trip north b/c my 3 y/o puked up his dinner and my sis was too scared and uninvited us. Storm seemed about what I thought it'd be, big but not out of this world nasty.

I've since acquired a shovel and new tires.

Now I need a Sierras destination to take the boys to go throw snowballs and get cold. Anyone got a good idea? Sledding would be a plus, skiing/boarding isn't in the cards. I'm hunting around Mammoth and June Lake but I'd really prefer some super low key spot which wouldn't be so nuts. Maybe Bishop would work but that might be a tad too sleepy to find a place to rent. Tempting to go all the way to Tahoe but each hour in the car I pay for in terms of unhappy children. Something like MiWuk but a bit further south with a halfway decent inventory of rentals would work. But maybe it's just time to do a Mammoth trip and try to get a kid friendly place?

Any recommendations for somewhere in North County SD that can rebuild CV boots? I have a spare OEM CV that needs new boots.

I can do it, quite the messy job but Ive done tons of them, Toyota sells boot kits using OEM components.

Just boots? Id suggest just upgrading to better boots if you are going through the trouble. I probably have a spare outer but only one..

nah actual cv outers, we found a set already. Building up some +4 axles with 934 inners and OE outers. RE: boots I've been around the world and back with boots and it really seems like genuine OE boots have been the best even with long travel...

Any recommendations for an audio store here in SD? Crutchfield is out of the Kenwood Excelon DMX907S.

I've found most the hole in the wall stereo shops to be sketchy. A lot of them sell refurbished units as new, or have the weird brands like sanyu, or kanwoods. Or sell copperclad aluminum wire for more expensive than ofc wire.

an old mtb friend of mine @81Trekker works at JD Fab in Esco and they are building custom cv’s for their lt kits that use 934 inners. they are getting +3.5 travel #’s out of their +2.25 kit and I had him build me a +4 kit...because i have a small penis. You should really check out what they are doing, they have come up with a ton of bad ass products that solve a lot of issues with our trucks. Their LCA tab kit is pure fkn genius...slide rack kits, lt kits , howe steer pump kits are all really rad, you’ll appreciate the engineering for sure.

Want some local advice. Battery is on its last legs and I want to get something a little nicer for the replacement but don’t want anything crazy heavy that will crack my fenders/add unnecessary weight.
I have a 2013 TRD sport and looks like the group size is 27f or 24f?
Any recommendations on brand or a cage for a stock size battery?

I got seven years out of my OEM battery which I thought was pretty good. Replaced it with an Interstate 27F and it lasted just over three years. I replaced it with a 27F from NAPA we'll see how long it lasts.
