Just worked the deal on this truck last week, lol. They’re coming. These have plenty of tread, but they’re def a little aged.

 

which tires do you recommend again?

 

That actually sounds pretty rad.

 

I had a set of KM2s last me damn near 80k miles on a 3rd gen 4Runner. Wish they had never stopped making them.

A buddy of mine has Baja T/As on his bronco down in Austin. They are not loving this cold.

 

Its been 8 long years....since last Friday. Power went out at 5pm Monday for the last time and didnt come back on till 5:30pm Wednesday. House got down to 38 degrees. It went out at 4:45pm on wednesday and I said F it and drove to Burleson to borrow a generator. Wife said the power came back on like 15 minutes after I left and now that I have the gen its been back on solid. At least we didnt have any pipes burst or anything.

 

Albeit Maxxis Buckshots have my heart, I believe I’ll be putting ATW3 on Betty White since that’s what majority of people with a RTT suggest. I figure they know which tire goes best for mostly highway, with the occasional dirt path.

 

check them wildpeaks, may be lil cheaper and for the few thousand miles i had em, they rolled roundly. Even did a couple hills at BP on em

 

thats who makes the ATW3. What model did you run?

 

ah both cooper and falken have AT3 models, the falkens are AT3W.

I had the passenger rated wildpeaks for the light weight and cheap price

 

I do prefer my Maxxis over the Cooper’s, as far as, buck shots vs stt pros.

 

I have the heavy Falkens, they've been great in the snow/ice.

 

Houston/Galveston:

 

Would that cause any actual damage once it thaws out? I mean, I get not being able to use the vehicle right now, but if it was left to thaw, would it be fine?

 

I really don't know, but given how ice can be intrusive and the weight of that much ice I could see potential problems. Not sure though.
