What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I made up a light for that plugs into one of the two accessory SAE ports on the Warn Zeon winch so that I can see the winch line and drum through the cutouts on my bumper. The ports are activated using the winch controller.
I used a set of

Pilot CZ-3262WE 12V COB Interior/Exterior Light Strips Arctic White - 6.5" / 2 Strips - Super Bright with Power-saving Technology 3M Tape Included

these LED light strips (came in a pack of two), they are very bright and cast a nice pattern filling the dark void. Bought a pack of SAE plugs and made up a simple harness.
Added a little asthetic value to the engine bay with this very nice Mobil 1 oil decal.

Thin, weighs nothing, and serves the intended purpose, and super easy to install. They come with 3M double-sided adhesive tape on them which has a very strong bond.

Yes. I called to confirm they had the size I wanted in stock. And talked to them about valving and stuff. I have a feeling it was coincidence that they had what I wanted in stock. And they, like everyone else has almost no stock of King shocks and are on super back order. But it’s worth a call.

Been working on my truck for the last 3 days, wiring up all manner of lights (6 sets total) through a nice switch panel that has aux ports, a voltmeter, and some panel lighting. That meant heavy wiring going from the battery through a circuit breaker then wired through the cab into the console. I wanted each pair on their own circuit, and for them to be quick-disconnect for the light bar and basket. On top of that, I wanted it all to be seamless and fully integrated.

Mission accomplished. The backlighting on the panel, voltmeter, USB and 12VDC ports are on switched power. The rest is straight battery power so I can turn them on without the truck running if needed. It's totally integrated and the switch panel sits nicely in the console and looks almost OEM.

My hands hurt from feeing wire, making looms, and generally feeding them through the shredder that is 'under dash land'. It was worth it though. At least I hope so. To properly do this job I bet I spent at least as much on high quality connectors, wiring, heat shrink, relays, panels, etc. as I did on the lights themselves (which points to good wiring materials or cheap lights... both are the case). I haven't tried the lights out yet though. They function, but tonight I'll finally get them aimed where I want 'em. WOOT!

Now to get to work installing the sound deadening where I've pulled out a bunch of interior...

 

was it hard to remove the 6 speed trans once all the bell housing bolts are off? planing to do mine soon, looks like you took the transfer case with it as well. might do the same...

Actually the other day but too busy to post: Put these suckers on and couldn't be happier. 275/65r18 on factory limited wheels. 2" spacers in the front. This is how the truck should have looked from the factory.
